The celeb line-up for the much-awaited Coldplay concert on November 19 was unveiled yesterday, and it features the crème de la crème of Bollywood.

While we had already told you about Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and A R Rahman sharing the stage with the British rock band, organisers have revealed Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Arijit Singh, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Monali Thakur will make their presence felt.

Among international celebrities, Jay Z will lend support to the charity concert being organised by international social action platform, Global Citizen.

Bachchan said, “I have been part of several campaigns and it is a privilege and pleasure for me to support this one. I was one of the first people to sign up for the campaign. I would like to earn as much as social currency to attend the event.” Asked if he would have paid Rs 25,000 for a Coldplay concert, Big B said, “I am a big Coldplay fan and would have surely paid to watch them perform in India.” Kareena said she sees the concert as an opportunity to pledge support to girl child education among other issues.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin will also curate the upcoming concert.

How ticketing works

Sabash Joseph, director of Wizcraft, says, "One needs to earn social currency by signing up on a website (https://www.globalcitizen.in/en/), complete the festival’s action campaigns and take action in support of education, equality, and sanitation campaigns. Neraly 20 per cent of the tickets will be sold online on September 15, the minimum cost being Rs 5000." Joseph, however, didn’t disclose the upper limit of ticket prices.
