Drishyam The Conclusion collects 113.50 cr in 2 days

DRISHYAM THE CONCLUSION has seen an extraordinary first day of around 61-62 crore nett making it the fourth highest opening day collection for Hindi film in history behind DHURANDHAR THE REVEGE, JAWAN and PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE. The film got over the 60 crore nett mark but could not reach 65 crore nett. The film has not set any record in any circuit but has come very close in Mumbai, Delhi/UP and East Punjab.

In the Maharashtra belt it actually beat DHURANDHAR THE REVEGE in places but the collections in Mumbai city and Pune were less which kept the circuit under the Ranveer Singh-starrer. The shocker is Delhi/UP and East Punjab as the NCR area records the highest collections ever seen on the opening day and this is for a film which has Maharashtra regional feel while DHURANDHAR THE REVEGE had that Punjab touch. It is simply unbelievable though the holiday will have a lot to with it. The overall collections though in Delhi/UP and East Punjab are just a little short of DHURANDHAR THE REVEGE.

If we take out the holiday factor, then this film is still getting a 35-37 crore nett opening which is extraordinary for the genre and production cost and shows how this sequel factor can make a film a lottery today. The film had issues when it began as Akshaye Khanna left the film mainly due to remuneration issues but it has made no difference and character artistes have to understand they dont make much of a difference even if the character has made an impact. The only person who is indispensable in this franchise is Ajay Devgn.

There will be a drop in collections on Saturday as is the norm after a huge holiday but the film is sure to go over 175 crore nett for the weekend and could even get around 190 crore nett which is phenomenal for this film.

The Overseas has also seen excellent results with Australia at 300k and USA/Canada looking at around $750k which should mean an overseas total of over $1.75 million. This is easily the best for Ajay Devgn and from here should be the first $10 million film Overseas for Ajay Devgn.
-------------------------------------------
DRISHYAM THE CONCLUSION had a fantastic Saturday as it grossed around 51 crore nett which is a drop of under 20% from the first day and takes the two day total to 113.50 crore nett. The film will be targeting a Sunday which will be similar to day one and that will be enough to take the film to 175 crore nett.

The collections are simply superb all over with the two bigger areas of Mumbai and North India leading the way. Gujarat, which was maybe a little less on day one, held up better on the second day. North India is outstanding especially considering the Maharashtra fell to the film. Both Delhi/UP and East Punjab are showing very surprising collections to the upside.

Despite being the widest release, it held up better than all the rest even when coming out of the big holiday with a huge number up on the board. The final first day collections have come in the third highest in history for a Hindi film (dubbed or original). There were no circuit records and these are mainly held by DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE and some by TOXIC (Hindi).

The wait is for the weekdays as today, when a film works like this, you never know how big it is going to be. It is also fantastic overseas and is looking at a weekend of $6.5-6.75 million. The biggest Ajay Devgn film in overseas is SINGHAM AGAIN at $9.5 million and DRISHYAM THE CONCLUSION will cruise past the $10 million mark making it a first for Ajay Devgn.

The collections of DRISHYAM THE CONCLUSION till date are as follows.
Friday - 62,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 51,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,13,50,00,000 apprx

The Vvaan collects 45.50 cr in 6 days

THE VVAAN had a good second day as collections went into double digits. The growth of the film is 45% but this is coming with a low ratio of business coming from the national chains. So, its actually a better result than what 45% suggests. The film has jumped well in mass circuits like Rajasthan and CI which is not the norm on Saturday and this trend ensures the film will become a success though its about going holding up on the weekdays and into week two and emerge a HIT film.

The film continues to do excellent business in Bihar and if this trend continues, its going to be a BLOCKBUSTER in the circuit. West Bengal is excellent also as it went up on day two after a very good start on the first day. The sentiment/devotion angle has worked for the film across the core Hindi circuits and now time will tell at to which level this has worked. Its another film which signals the shift in the audience demographics as content made for the bigger Hindi speaking states now has more chances than the metro content when it comes to smaller films which was not the case 10-15 years back.

This was always likely to happen at one point as the industry goes back to the pre 1995 days when things were more equal. Its not exactly back to those days but thats because infrastructure in many of the states has not moved as fast as the metropolitan areas and its still playing catch up. THE VVAAN now stands at 18.25 crore nett after two days and with the mass circuits on board it should be a very good Sunday and then its about the weekdays.

The collections of THE VVAAN are as follows.
Friday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 18,25,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------------
THE VVAAN took the fourth highest opening this year in Bihar and is only behind the big three, that is, TOXIC, DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE and BORDER 2. The collections of TOXIC were an all time record for the circuit becoming the first film to cross 3 crore nett in the circuit despite its eventual failure.

THE VVAAN has beaten AWARAPAN 2, WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE, DHAMAAL 4 and BHOOTH BANGLA in the circuit just because of the song and the Chhath puja angle in the film. It was expected to out perform in Bihar but not to the extent it has. Never in the modern era has Bihar been a 13% ratio circuit. It would have not even happened in the past also as very few prints were released in Bihar and it took a long time to fully monetize the circuit.

The top five collections in Bihar this year are as follows.
1. Toxic - 3,19,00,000
2. Dhurandhar The Revenge - 2,68,00,000
3. Border 2 - 1,77,00,000
4. The Vvaan - 1,00,00,000 apprx
5. Awarapan 2 - 96,00,000
------------------------------------------
THE VVAAN had a good hold on Monday as it collected around 4.50- 4.75 crore nett which is a drop of 35-40%. The film showed a stronger trend in the Hindi Mass circuits with Bihar again leading the way with a lesser drop than the national average. This now takes the film to 36.50 crore nett with the crucial day being Wednesday as Thursday should do well as its a holiday the next day.

The film is probably looking at a first week total of around 50 crore nett and though the trend of the film is good a lot depends on what happens when DRISHYAM THE CONCLUSION comes. If there was no DRISHYAM THE CONCLUSION, then this film would have been on its way to HIT business but now its a wait and see situation. The film is a SUCCESS but remains to be seen if the film can become a HIT.

The plus is that the film is a rare film to succeed which is not a franchise/Sequel film this year. The only other one was BHOOTH BANGLA but that film was marketed on nostalgia while here THE VVAAN has no such thing. On top, there is not that huge budget/scale which gives hopes for new titles made at these low to medium costs can also score at the box office. The minus point for the film is that it could not do much overseas.

The collections of THE VVAAN are as follows.
Friday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,65,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 36,40,00,000 apprx
-------------------------------------------
THE VVAAN collected 5.50 crore nett showing regular 20%  jump on discounted Tuesday which now takes the film to 42 crore nett and it should be looking at a 50 crore nett apprx first week. There will be a drop on Wednesday but Thursday should hold or even go up as there is a huge holiday on Friday.

The film is a success and a rare non sequel success though this level of success depends on what happens from Friday when DRISHYAM THE CONCLUSION releases.

The collections of THE VVAAN are as follows.
Friday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,65,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 5,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 41,90,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------------
THE VVAAN collected 3.50 crore nett on its first Wednesday which was a drop from the previous day but its a little more than 20% down from Monday and still only 53% down from the first day. The collections should hold today and can even edge up due to the evening shows being better as its a huge holiday tomorrow.

The film has a huge task facing it in the second weekend as it faces up to DRISHYAM THE CONCLUSION. The franchise factor takes DRISHYAM THE CONCLUSION into that list of 4-5 films of the year which you don't want in the second week especially when you are doing well as no doubt you will have to take a some sort of hit. Your second week would have better if you had a HAIWAAN, VIBE, DAAYRA or even MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE coming the week after you.

The Friday for THE VVAAN can get the collections due to the holiday but its going to be a flat weekend. On the present, the trend the film should be doing a 20 crore nett plus second week but that will be hard due to the release of DRISHYAM THE CONCLUSION.

The collections of THE VVAAN till date are as follows.
Friday - 7,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,65,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 5,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 45,40,00,000 apprx

Hanuman Ansh collects 301.75 cr in 57 days

Hanuman Ansh: Made on a reported budget of around Rs 2 crore, Hanuman Ansh has emerged as one of the biggest low-budget success stories. The devotional film, based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, reportedly earned around Rs 180.95 crore worldwide, translating to nearly 90 times its reported production cost. Its strong word-of-mouth helped it grow despite lacking a conventional star-led cast.

Box Office India Trade Network

HANUMAN ANSH had another incredible weekend as it collected 27.25 crore nett plus in its seventh weekend. The collections are such that only nine films have done this much over the first weekend in 2026. DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE had collected 5.25 crore nett in WEEK seven while DHURANDHAR was 12 crore nett over the whole seventh WEEK.

Here its looking at the seventh week that can be around the 40 crore nett mark depending on the weekdays trend. This trend is not as strong as earlier in its run when the Monday collections were similar to Friday but its still trending very strongly if we compare with other releases. The Sunday collections were extraordinary again as it caters to the family audience and generally an older age audience. It remains to be seen if it reaches 300 crore nett and its present trend should be enough as it should remain in theaters till Diwali.

The film is an insane BLOCKBUSTER and stands up there with JAI SANTOSHI MAA (1975) as far as films in this devotional/mythological zone goes. It wont quite be a JAI SANTOSHI MAA but there is a second part to come and that will have the potential to surpass even JAI SANTOSHI MAA going by the appreciation for this the first part of HANUMAN ANSH.

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Week Four - 57,98,00,000
Week Five  - 83,83,00,000
Week Six - 76,92,00,000
Friday - 4,85,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
Seventh Weekend - 27,35,00,000
TOTAL - 2,57,58,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------------
HANUMAN ANSH saw a phenomenal seventh week with collections of 41.50 crore nett apprx which now takes the film to over 270 crore nett at almost 272 crore nett. Despite this insane record in week seven, it has seen a drop as compared to the trend of the last few weeks. The film fell around 46% from the last week. For the record books, the previous best for week seven was 12 crore nett for DHURANDHAR (2025) while for a film with multiple versions, it is KANTARA (2022) with 16 crore nett.

The film is a HISTORIC BLOCKBUSTER and the second biggest of ALL TIME for its genre and its just about seeing if the film crosses the 300 crore nett barrier. It does not really matter much as its more than done its job but as its come this far, you might as will get over 300 crore nett. The film probably needs to show a 2.50 crore nett eighth Friday to remain on course for 300 crore nett.

BORDER 2 is the second highest grosser this year with 312 crore nett and HANUMAN ANSH is unlikely to reach that total but that does not matter much also as BORDER 2 is a far bigger film. As far as the best business goes it will be Delhi/UP and CI followed by East Punjab as its most likely that UP, MP and Haryana have the most followers of Neeb Karori Baba whom the film is based on. In CI, it will beat the likes of CHHAAVA, JAWAN and PATHAAN and maybe even KGF - CHAPTER 2 (Hindi).

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Week Four - 57,98,00,000
Week Five  - 83,83,00,000
Week Six - 76,92,00,000
Friday - 4,85,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 3,50,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,25,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 3,00,00,000 apprx
Seventh Week - 41,60,00,000
TOTAL - 2,71,83,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------------
HANUMAN ANSH hit the 300 crore nett mark on its eight Friday as it continues to set weekly records. The eighth week collected a huge 27.25 crore nett which smashed past the 5 crore nett record of DHURANDHAR (2025). The records will continue in week nine as its already collected 2.25 crore nett on its ninth Friday and is sure to beat the long standing ninth week record of GADAR - EK PREM KATHA.

The interesting thing here is that the second highest collection ever in week nine in India at the moment is actually a Hollywood film. F1: THE MOVIE collected 2.62 crore nett in week nine and that is second highest collection ever and this includes films released on multiple languages. HANUMAN ANSH collected 2.25 crore nett in two days of week nine. In other words, it will have the highest ninth week collection of all time.

The film will see a drop in collections this week as it faces up to the force of DRISHYAM THE CONCLUSION and it will be the biggest weekly drop unless the miracle continues from Monday. The film now stands at 301.75 crore nett and is probably looking at a close of somewhere around the 320 crore nett mark. In recent times THE KASHMIR FILES had done 250 crore nett apprx which was the ballpark and now HANUMAN ANSH has taken the ballpark figure to 300 crore nett plus.

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Week Four - 57,98,00,000
Week Five  - 83,83,00,000
Week Six - 76,92,00,000
Week Seven - 42,02,00,000
Week Eight - 27,25,00,000 apprx
Friday - 2,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 3,01,75,00,000 apprx

Toxic finishes at 230 cr; worldwide gross 320 cr

TOXIC will be ending its run at 230 crore nett across India on all versions with the Hindi version finishing at 137 crore nett. The film is the fifth highest grosser this year after DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE, SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY, BORDER 2 and HANUMAN ANSH if we take all films released in India this year. But it is also the most costly film released this year at almost 500 crore. In fact, it would be among the the top three most expensive films ever made till this point.

The film collected 95 crore nett on the first day which is an insane 41% of its total business. This ratio is almost the same with the Hindi version as it collected 39% of its lifetime collection on the first day. It is the highest grossing South Indian film this year as it edges past the 225 crore nett of PEDDI.

The film does hold first day records for non sequels in Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI, Bihar and Odisha and no matter what happened post release there was a huge craze for the film. There are some huge films to be released this year which are not sequels and it will be very interesting if these records can hold by the end of the year.

The overseas collections ended at $4.5 million which will give it a worldwide close of around 320 crore.

The all India collections of TOXIC are as follows.
Week One - 2,21,05,00,000
Week Two - 7,85,00,000
Week Three - 99,00,000
Week Four - 10,00,000 apprx (5 Days)
TOTAL - 2,29,99,00,000

Mirzapur The Movie collects 211.68 cr in 18 days

Mirzapur The Movie (Pic/Special Arrangements)

Box Office India Trade Network

MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE continues to do well in its third week as it takes its total collections to over 211 crore nett. The film has collected 12.25 crore nett so far in its third week and should do around 16 crore nett plus. The drop will be there of around 70% but the job is done for the film with a huge total up on the board already. The film is now probably looking to close around the 225 crore nett mark.

The film has hit the 60 crore nett mark in Delhi/UP while Bihar is outstanding as it will eventually cross the business of the likes of RRR (Hindi), KALKI 2898 AD (Hindi) and even films like WAR and TIGER ZINDA HAI. The film will be looking at a 13 crore nett close in Bihar. The UP/Bihar area is the best performer for the film.

If we take non star films (or when the faces were relatively new), not including the ones form the South, then it will be fifth best performer in terms of collections after SAIYAARA, HANUMAN ANSH, THE KASHMIR FILES and URI. THE KERALA SRORY stands at 220 crore nett at MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE should cross that figure.

The collections of MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,44,89,00,000
Week Two - 54,54,00,000
Friday - 2,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 1,50,00,000 apprx
Third Week - 12,25,00,000 apprx (4 days)
TOTAL - 2,11,68,00,000 apprx

Daayra collects 4.95 cr in 4 days; Vibe collects 8.60 cr

Kunal Kemmu and Kareena Kapoor pics via Instagram

Box Office India Trade Network

DAAYRA collected 1.75 crore nett on Saturday adding to the 1 crore nett total on Friday which takes it to 2.75 crore nett in two days. The film had a BOGO offer on Saturday which was not there on Friday. So, the film probably grew more than it would have on fair value. The offer remains on Sunday and it remains to be seen where the film goes on the thirs day.

VIBE collected 2.75 crore nett on Saturday taking its total to 4.6 crore nett in two days. the jump here is less than DAAYRA as this film had 50% discount offer on Friday AND Saturday, which remains on Sunday. If these collections came without the offer, they would be respectable for the cast of the film though not the costs. Now, there is nothing much to say as you really don't know how much higher they are than fair value - 10%, 20% or 30%.
------------------------------------------
DAAYRA did dull business in its first weekend collecting only 4.50 crore nett. There was some growth on Saturday but part of that would have been driven by the buy one get one free offer and even still it was not good enough. With such a low start, you probably have to be more than double the first day at the very least.

The film suffered on the account that there is so much of these crime stories on television that getting the audience to the theatre for similar content is probably an impossible task. You have a chance on word of mouth but that has to be outstanding when hardly anybody comes in the first place. The film had a Malayalam version also as the male lead is from that industry but the collections were negligible.

The collections of DAAYRA are as follows.
Friday - 1,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday -  1,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 4,50,00,000 apprx

VIBE has a done a little better than DAAYRA as it collected 7.50 crore nett plus over the weekend but there was an offer of discounted tickets for all three days which means collections were at least 10% higher than they should have been. It could be more than 10% as well. The growth over the weekend was like most regular films when it needed more.

The film has done better in Mumbai circuit as this type of comedy tends to do better in Mumbai city but even here the collections cant be called good. The film probably needed better support in the big centres of North India but with the film looking like a spoof, that was going to be tough. The film needs Monday to be around Friday which is hard but if it can fall around 25-30%, it can get some collections after the first week.

The collections of VIBE over the first weekend are as follows.
Friday - 1,85,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 2,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday -  3,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 7,60,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------------
DAAYRA fell badly on Monday as it collected less than 50 lakhs to take its four day total to just 5 crore nett. The film had the BOGO offer in play on Monday but it was of no help due to total rejection. This is another huge downer after HAIWAAN last week as it will also not reach the 10 crore nett mark for lifetime business.

HAIWAAN and DAAYRA featured big stars like Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor but they are more examples of how star value is deteriorating and its becoming more and more about the movie. For a star to deliver big initially its now become about budget which shows scale with a new title or have sequel factor in play. If the content is so dry like these two films, it only gets worse.

The collections of DAAYRA are as follows.
Friday - 1,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday -  1,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 45,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 4,95,00,000 apprx

VIBE collected 1 crore nett on Monday and it came without the offer it had over the weekend and its not really good enough. The film has so far collected 8.60 crore nett and it should be a week of 11-12 crore nett. It has beaten the competition but that's about all as it also does not have much appreciation.

The collections of VIBE till date as follows.
Friday - 1,85,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 2,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday -  3,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 1,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 8,60,00,000 apprx

Daayra collects 1.10 cr on Day 1; Vibe collects 1.85 cr

Box Office India Trade Network

DAAYRA had a poor first day collecting around 1-1.10 crore nett as the film had nothing for the youth audience. But the main issue was that it did not really push forward in the evenings also. It remains to be seen if the film can get any worthwhile growth on Saturday and it has a BOGO offer to help which was not there on the first day. However, the competition had an offer on the first day and hence, this was probably coming.

The film could have suffered a little with less screenings at PVR as they distributed the other film VIBE though films like DAAYRA are driven by the PVR chain. But at the end of the day, these are minor hiccups and the main issue is the film looked too dry from the trailer. Moreover, such stuff is all over on television today which makes it less attractive to the cinema going audience. The film had a Malayalam version also as the male lead is from that industry but the collections were negligible.

VIBE did a little better than DAAYRA as it collected 1.85 crore nett apprx but had an offer of 50% discounted rates and with a DAAYRA at a little over 1 crore nett it makes the 1.85 crore nett actually respectable if it came without the offer. Here you cant really tell what is the fair value for the film and the offer will have to be held on Saturday to ensure growth.

This film gave a more entertainment feel than DAAYRA due to comedy but its like a spoof and these films you can rule out in North, Central and Eastern markets. Its mainly about Mumbai and South and today that South is probably just Mysore for smaller films. This type of comedy has nothing for the masses an hence, the core Hindi circuits don't get an audience. The film has done much better in cities like Mumbai and Pune comparatively and it remains to be seen how it grows on Saturday.

Mirzapur The Movie collects 197.89 cr in 2 weeks

MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE had a very good second weekend as it picked up 35 crore nett which is a 60% plus drop from last weekend. The film had an excellent Friday but the trend could have been stronger but it was a muted weekend in terms of trend. This maybe down to the Ganpati period coming or just one of those weekends.

The film still looks on course for that 200 crore nett total after two weeks though strong growth would have made this a certainty. Now its about where the film holds over the weekdays. The total collections of the film are now 180 crore nett in ten days with North India and Bihar still giving heavy contribution. Delhi/UP has hit the 50 crore nett mark and Mumbai should also reach there by the end of the week.

The collections of MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE till date are as follows.
Friday - 25,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 31,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 35,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 16,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 14,75,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 12,25,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 10,25,00,000 apprx
Week One - 1,45,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 9,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 13,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,00,00,000 apprx
Second Weekend - 35,25,00,000
TOTAL - 1,80,25,00,000 apprx
-------------------------------------------
MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE will have a good second week but collections have slowed over the last two days as well the Saturday and Sunday growth was less than expected. The film collected 5 crore nett on Tuesday which was a little lower than Monday but it is that Ganpati week and hence, this can happen with collections.

The other film, HANUMAN ANSH, was flat on Tuesday as well. So, the discounted Tuesday being weak this is more of an external thing. It was also an official holiday on Monday in many states although the collections of the films did not show that and that could be the reason for a weak Tuesday also. MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE will show a drop on Wednesday and it remains to be seen how much this drop is.

The film has so far collected 45.50 crore nett in its second week and its probably looking at around 53 crore nett for the week which is a lower number than you would have expected after that 9 crore nett plus number on Friday. The film will have to wait for the 200 crore nett mark till its third Friday now. After 12 days, the film has collected a little over 190 crore nett.

The collections of MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,44,89,00,000
Friday - 9,25,00,000 apprx

MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE had a very good second week collecting 53 crore nett which is the third best second week collection of the year after DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE and BORDER 2 though it could have been a little better as the film had a strong second Friday. As a result, it should have seen better collections.

Still the film has 198 crore nett up on the board though even here it should have been 200 crore nett plus but it should go through this barrier on its third Friday. The film has two releases to contend with this week. So, there is bound to be a drop on the third Friday though the main competition is likely to remain HANUMAN ANSH.

The film had underperformed a little in Mumbai circuit in the first week and then the Ganpati period in the second week has affected collections further here. This will mean that film will do far better in Delhi/UP than Mumbai and not just comparatively as what circuit ratios should be but in terms of gross as well. It could that be that by the end of the run Delhi/UP could be around 8-10 crore nett higher than Mumbai.

The collections of MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,44,89,00,000
Friday - 9,25,00,000 apprx

Hanuman Ansh collects 235.08 cr in 43 days

Hanuman Ansh film 2026

Box Office India Trade Network

The devotional film, HANUMAN ANSH, created more history as it recorded 54-55 crore nett sixth weekend and then crossed the 200 crore nett mark on Sunday which was the 38th day of its run. The film now stands at almost 203 crore nett and there is a lot more to come. The sixth weekend is the highest weekend of its run till date and it cant be judged that will this be the highest weekend or is there a bigger weekend to come.

It remains to be seen if the sixth week goes on to be bigger than the fifth week and it would not surprise one bit if it does. The fifth week collected a huge 84 crore nett and HANUMAN ANSH needs around 35 crore nett in the weekdays to top that figure. The highest sixth week on record is DHURANDHAR's first part with 23 crore nett while with films on multiple languages, KANTARA's first part at 35 crore nett is the highest. Meanwhile, HANUMAN ANSH is already at 49 crore nett in just 3 days of week six.

The Sunday collections of the film are similar to last Sunday and it will be known later if they actually beat last Sunday or fall a little short. The film is a HISTORIC BLOCKBUSTER and second biggest HIT of the year after DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE but its still an unknown where it will finally land as the drops have not come as yet.

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Week Four - 57,98,00,000
Week Five - 83,83,00,000
Friday - 10,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 18,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 21,00,00,000 apprx
Sixth Weekend - 49,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 2,02,56,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------------
The devotional film, HANUMAN ANSH, had a strong hold on Monday dropping a little over 20% from Friday but this is the weakest trend for the film so far in its run. A 20% drop in Monday is an extraordinary result for most films but here it could mean the film has hit its peak and now will start to see lesser collections.

The film collected 8 crore nett which takes the total collections of the film to 210 crore nett and its looking like a sixth week of 80 crore nett apprx. You still would not totally write it off doing as much as the 84 crore nett of last week but it looks difficult. The film will be looking at a total of around 235 crore nett after six weeks and then it remains to be seen how much it can after. The film should do be able to cross 300 crore nett though will depend on where the seventh Friday lands.

The film is extraordinary in Delhi/UP, East Punjab, Rajasthan and CI. Delhi/UP will be at around 60 crore nett at the end of the week and East Punjab will be have crossed 25 crore nett by the end of the week while CI which maybe best of all. It would be touching the collections of BORDER 2 by the end of the week.

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Week Four - 57,98,00,000
Week Five - 83,83,00,000
Friday - 10,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 18,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 20,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 8,00,00,000 apprx
Sixth Week - 57,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 2,10,31,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------------
The devotional film, HANUMAN ANSH, saw the first big drop of its run on its sixth Wednesday as it picked up 5 crore nett. This collection means the best collections are now done and some sort of assessment can be made where the film is going and its probably looking at a close in the 300 crore nett range if it follows a normal trajectory from here.

The film has collected 223 crore nett so far and the week will probably end up at 228 crore nett. The film still needs another 70 crore nett to get to 300 crore nett. Hence, the Friday has to hold well. Not that it matters much if the film does a little over 300 crore nett or a little less as its a phenomenal HIT and nothing has ben seen like this for over 50 years.

The weekly records are likely to continue for a few weeks more as it has smashed the sixth week record by a distance and will double the business of a film like KANTARA (2022) which did 35 crore nett on multiple versions in week six and here its just one Hindi version.

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Week Four - 57,98,00,000
Week Five - 83,83,00,000
Friday - 10,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 18,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 20,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 8,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 8,00,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Sixth Week - 70,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 2,23,31,00,000 apprx
------------------------------------------
HANUMAN ANSH is heading for more records in week seven as it collected around 4.75-5 crore nett which takes the film to 235 crore nett. DHURANDHAR (2025), which holds the record for the highest seventh week at almost 12 crore nett, may well be covered in just two days. KANTARA, which holds the record with multiple versions at 16 crore nett, will be covered in three days.

These records will continue for the next few weeks and it may well be that the film is setting records as far as week ten goes but the target for the film looks to be to cross 300 crore nett. Although it should get there, it is not locked. All it takes is one major drop like it had on Wednesday and then the 300 crore nett mark becomes tough.

Haiwaan collects 6.50 cr in 3 days

Box Office India Trade Network

HAIWAAN had a horrible first weekend with collections of only 6.50 crore nett as it was a downward slope after a disastrous first day. The first day was not a huge surprise as a film which has very little interest competes with two films doing exceedingly well, then your 4-5 crore can easily become 2-3 crore.

The reports were negative but that should not lead to this downward trajectory at these low levels. However, because of the competition and generally growth being a bit muted this weekend led to this further downfall in collections. Sunday was only 1.75 crore nett and with this result its going to be difficult for the film to collect even 1 crore nett on Monday.

The film has the cushion of strong non theatrical deals. Especially for the type of content, it is of almost 80 crore. But can the 60 crore for digital hold after such disaster theatrical results for the box office remains to be seen. It will be a godsend if it can as theatrical recovery is practically nothing.

The collections of HAIWAAN for the first weekend are as follows
Friday - 2,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 2,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 6,50,00,000

HAIWAAN recorded a dull first day ranging between 2.50-2.75 crore nett which leaves the film with little chance to go anywhere. The industry as usual will see it as shocking but its happened before. So, its not a huge surprise. When a trailer does not offer much, then a film is impossible to save from the audience point of view as they will wait for the film to come on television if they really have to watch.

Also, the fact that there are two films doing so well means this film is going to get a far lesser share of the audience then it would otherwise get. If the trailer or music was better, then only can you stand up to the other films which have been liked. If those films were not there, it could have done a couple of crore more but that would not even alter the scenario. Nothing can be done about it as MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE was expected to do well though maybe not to the level it has done. However, HANUMAN ANSH has come out of the blue.

The only positive factor for the film was the presence of a star like Akshay Kumar but from the reports coming out it seems an extended guest appearance type role with limited screen time which will not help its cause in terms of the trend. So here the positive will also end up as a negative. When there is a big star in a film it has to be a dominating role. A film like WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE had a bigger star cast than HAIWAAN but was dominated by Akshay Kumar.
------------------------------------------
HAIWAAN is a poor fare as collections were 2.25 crore nett on Saturday adding to the 2.50 crore nett on Friday. The film dropped 10% apprx and with such low occupancy on Friday there was a chance of this happening as it was bound to lose screenings as two other films were doing so well. The two day total of the film is 4.75 crore nett and it will be a weekend of only 7 crore nett apprx.

The devotional film, HANUMAN ANSH, continued to set more records as it collected 9.75 crore nett apprx on its fifth Monday. No film in history has ever come close to this on the fifth Monday. If the film reached 10 crore nett, it would have been the first film ever to hit the 10 crore nett mark on the fifth Monday. That double digit mark will happen on Tuesday which will be the first time that a film has reached double digits in the weekdays of week five.

The film now has a total of 125 crore nett apprx with around 55 crore nett so far in week five and it cant be said that how much the fifth week will do as it depends on Wednesday and Thursday and you dont know really know what will happen here. Last week, the film saw a huge jump on Thursday though it will be harder this week as it wont get that increase in shows.

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Week Four - 57,98,00,000
Friday - 9,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 15,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 21,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 9,75,00,000 apprx
Fifth Week - 54,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,24,93,00,000 apprx
-----------------------------------------
The devotional film, HANUMAN ANSH, created history in week five as it collected 83.50 crore nett which is double of what DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE (2026) did in its fifth week though for this film, its actually the third week as the film. The movie went pretty much unnoticed for the first 15 days. KANTARA (2022) did 49 crore nett in week five which is record for all films in India in multiple versions and HANUMAN ANSH has sailed past that as well.

The total collections of the film stand at 153 crore nett after five weeks and there is much more to come though its still impossible to judge where the film is going. This judgement can only happen when the film starts to drop and so far its just been an upward trajectory. Despite smashing all records last weekend, its on course to record a higher weekend this week if the expected weekend growth comes.

There is no doubt all week six records be be obliterated by a distance but it remains to be seen if the film can do a higher week six than week five. The weekend looks very likely but the week will be probably be tougher though not out of the question. The film is one of those sensations which used to come veery few years before the multiplex era nut have now become frequent again. From THE KASHMIR FILES (2022) to MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA (2025) and now to the biggest one, HANUMAN ANSH. Each time all these films have trended such that you thought nothing can trend better but something has come to be even better. It looked these sort of break outs were history but the post pandemic box office has bought them back.

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Week Four - 57,98,00,000
Friday - 9,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 15,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 21,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 10,25,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 8,75,00,000 apprx
Fifth Week - 83,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,52,98,00,000 apprx
-----------------------------------------
The devotional film, HANUMAN ANSH, recorded its highest Friday in its run so far on its sixth Friday with collections around the 10.50 crore nett mark. There has been nothing like this in history as KANTARA (2022) collected around 5.50 crore nett on sixth Friday with a release in multiple versions while the highest HINDI film collection ever is DHURANDHAR's first part with around 3.25 crore nett.

Again its all records smashed by leaps and bounds but its not about that anymore as weekly records are bound to be broken for the next few weeks. For this film, it will be about whether the film can collect more than what it did last week and then where it is landing next week. The Friday is more than last week but does it keep on beating last week records through the week. The highest collection the film has recorded so far is 21 crore nett on its fifth Sunday and that will be in danger this Sunday. It may well beat or get close on Saturday itself.

The film is the second biggest HIT of the year after DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE but its still an unknown where the film go as an idea can only come when its starts dropping.

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Week Four - 57,98,00,000
Week Five  - 84,03,00,000
Friday - 10,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,64,01,00,000 apprx
-----------------------------------------
HANUMAN ANSH was fantastic on its second Saturday as it collected around 18 crore nett which is growth of almost 75%. This is a superb jump but considering how the film has gone so far it was probably expected to show bigger growth. It also could be that this Saturday is not the best for growth with Ganpati period coming.

HANUMAN ANSH now stands on a huge 182 crore and will cross the 200 crore nett mark on Sunday though it remains to be seen if it will get the highest collection of its run and beat the 21 crore nett of last Sunday.

Mirzapur The Movie collects 168 cr in 9 days; 195.50 cr worldwide in 6 days

Box Office India Trade Network

MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE collected 14.75 crore nett on its first Tuesday which is around 10% down from the previous day and it is a little bit surprising. There were discounted rates though it does not matter much as the number itself is still excellent. The film can still maintain double digit figures till the end of the week.

Its rare to see a drop on Tuesday but it could be down to the competition and the fact that Monday was super strong itself. This should also that mean Wednesday may show better holds than normal coming out of the discounted Tuesday. The total of the film now stands at 122.50 crore nett and its probably looking at a first week of around 144 crore nett. This will almost cover the lifetime business of AWARAPAN 2 released a few weeks back.

The crucial day will be Friday as that will give an idea of the lifetime range. It will be tough for the film to hold at Thursday's level as there will be a new release with HAIWAAN. More than that HANUMAN ANSH will be behaving like a new release and will probably be seeing its best Friday since release.

The collections of MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE till date are as follows.
Friday - 25,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 31,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 35,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 16,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 14,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,22,50,00,000 apprx
-----------------------------------------
MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE will cross the 200 crore mark worldwide as it stands at 195 crore after six days. It is looking a comfortable 300 crore worldwide for the film and could even be 350 crore depending on how the next two weeks go. There is a chance that the film could be the second highest grossing Hindi film Overseas this year as it has chances to beat BORDER 2 though that film did not release in Gulf.

The film has scored very well in all overseas markets with United Kingdom being on the weaker side. Gulf, Australia and Canada are excellent while USA could have been a little better looking at collections of Australia and Canada. Still, the Overseas performance is actually better than India as the value of stars remains higher Overseas than in India.

The first week itself will see the film crossing the Overseas numbers of all films this year apart from DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE, BORDER 2, BHOOTH BANGLA and AWARAPAN 2.

The worldwide collections of MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE worldwide till date are as follows.
India - 162.50 crore (134.75 crore nett)
Overseas - 33 crore ($3.5 million)
TOTAL - 195.50 crore
-----------------------------------------
MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE is set to emerge a BLOCKBUSTER film as it sees a superb hold on its second Friday dropping just 10% from the previous day despite competition from HANUMAN ANSH and HAIWAAN. The latter may not be competition in terms of audience response but it still took screens away from MIRZAPUR.

The collections were 9.25 crore nett on its third Friday which now takes the film over 150 crore nett to almost 155 crore nett. The film should comfortably be standing at over 200 crore nett after its second week. Then, it should finish with a total of 250 crore nett plus which is a BLOCKBUSTER collection for this film.

MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE is looking to be the third biggest HIT of the year so far after DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE and HANUMAN ANSH and is the biggest HIT ever for most involved in the film be it the actors or Excel Entertainment or Amazon MGM. The only exception is Pankaj Tripathi who also has a STREE 2 to his name.

The collections remain outstanding in North India and Bihar as Delhi/UP should do 60 crore nett and Bihar an outstanding 15 crore nett.

The collections of MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE till date are as follows.
Friday - 25,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 31,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 35,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 16,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 14,75,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 12,25,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 10,25,00,000 apprx
Week One - 1,45,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 9,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,54,75,00,000 apprx
-----------------------------------------
MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE showed good growth on Saturday as it collected 13 crore nett apprx with collections going up 40%. The growth could have been more but the hold on Friday was very strong. Considering the competition its still a very good second Saturday collection. The total collections of the film are now 168 crore nett and its heading for a two week total of over 200 crore nett.

Mirzapur The Movie collects 91.50 cr in 3 days

MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE recorded an excellent first day of 25.50 crore nett with outstanding collections in Delhi/UP, East Punjab and Bihar. The latter is practically similar to the collections of BORDER 2 and has to be the stand out. You would never think that a film from Excel Entertainment would be out performing in Bihar but this is what has happened with MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE.

The film has got the benefit of Janmashtami in many states especially the ones where it has out performed. However, in many other states, it was a normal day. So, the film will probably be a mixed bag on Saturday as in some places it can go up while others will be down. The film has collected around 15% more than AWARAPAN 2 but on fair value its a probably a bit less due to the holiday factor.

The film scored heavily over AWARAPAN 2 in Delhi/UP, East Punjab and Bihar even though a circuit like Delhi/UP was one of the better circuits for the Emraan Hashmi-starrer. Mumbai circuit is the same for both films while AWARAPAN 2 was better in places like West Bengal and Nizam/Andhra. The first day is better AWARAPAN 2 but if the weekend can come out better also it would be a great result as the Emraan Hashmi-starrer had the Independence Day holiday on the second day which propelled the collections.

Overall this initial means another HIT for the film industry after AWARAPAN 2 and HANUMAN ANSH. Its likely to do better than HIT business like AWARAPAN 2 but for that its about the weekday business. The film also had a Telugu version which collected around 25 lakhs nett on a limited release which is reasonable.
----------------------------------------
The weekend is turning out to be a huge one for the film industry as MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE and  HANUMAN ANSH run riot. It was a holiday for Janmashtami and both films managed to show growth from the partial holiday. MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE collected 25.50 crore nett on the first day and has collected 31 crore nett on the second day which is a jump of almost 25%.  The two day collections of the film stand at around 56.50 crore nett and its on course for a 90 crore nett weekend. Janmashtami has been played out over two days and hence, the growth maybe limited on Sunday.

The film has seen one of the weaker links on day one. Maharashtra come on board as collections went up here around 50% as compared to the 25% national average. Delhi/UP and East Punjab which were fantastic on day went up further on day two. The latter, which is weaker circuit today, compared to a few years ago was outstanding on Saturday. Bihar could not grow on day two but the two day business is extraordinary with a total over 3 crore nett.

The film is also doing very well overseas especially considering it does not have amuch of a cast and is heading for a weekend of $2.25-2.5 million which will be the fourth biggest weekend of the year after DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE, BORDER 2 and BHOOTH BANGLA. The main markets have done well with Gulf and Canada and Australia being best.
----------------------------------------
MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE had a fantastic opening weekend as it collected over 91 crore nett and the trend was also very strong. It was the Janmashtami period and so, maybe the trend does not show up in the numbers as growth is 25% and 10% on Saturday and Sunday respectively. But Janmashtami boosted the collections on Friday and Saturday.

These collections are also coming with the huge wave of HANUMAN ANSH which gets bigger day by day. Yet, MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE has remained pretty much unaffected so far. The weekend trend ensures a strong hold on Monday as first day fair value is probably around 20-21 crore nett and if we take that there have been solid jumps over the weekend. The film will comfortably cross the 100 crore nett mark today.

North India and Bihar recorded outstanding collections. Its like the olden days when rural based mass films ruled these markets but that time they were with huge stars in the films while here there are no stars. It was daku's then and its gangsters now. You get the audience in in these circuits and there is no looking back. Its always been this since the inception of cinema but for 10-12 years before the pandemic, the industry was getting away with appealing to a minority in handful of cities.

The film is already a HIT and should end up going higher though that will be about the second week. The film will be facing competition every week with new releases and on top there is HANUMAN NASH. But there is appreciation and so, it should hold well enough over the next few weeks. Its a weekend where films led by Pankaj Tripathi and Shobhinaw Satyaa have taken the box office apart which shows how importance of stars is getting less while the power of devotion and sequels keeps on getting stronger.

The first weekend collection of MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE are as follows.
Friday - 25,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 31,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 35,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 91,50,00,000 apprx

Toxic collects 136 cr in Week 1 in Hindi

Yash and Kiara Advani pic via Instagram

Box Office India Trade Network

TOXIC (Hindi) had a low first week of 136 crore nett as collections came down fast over the weekdays. The film had seen a big drop from the second day itself and by the end of the week it was doing only 2 crore nett business. As MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE has taken a strong start and HANUMAN ANSH is doing outstanding business, there will be nothing for the film in week two. It will not even 10 crore nett from here on.

Despite these dull collections, the Hindi version is still far better than what has done on in the South where the film is a huge disaster and its the same story in Overseas. In these parts, the film fetched huge prices leaving the distributors well short on the prices paid. The film collected 54 crore nett in Mysore/Karnataka (including Hindi version) over its first nine days and most of this came over the first five days.

The all India collections of the film are 221 crore nett apprx over the first nine days with PEDDI the top grosser for a South Indian film in 2026 is at 225 crore nett. TOXIC will get past that. However, the cost to produce and release PEDDI was around 325 crore while here for TOXIC, its 475 crore. TOXIC is among the five most expensive films released in India till date.

The collections of TOXIC (Hindi) are as follows.
Wednesday - 53,50,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 22,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 18,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 14,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,25,00,000 apprx

Hanuman Ansh collects 114.98 cr in 31 days

Box Office India Trade Network

The devotional film, HANUMAN ANSH, is looking to become the highest theatrical return on investment of all time. The biggest ever till date is a another devotional film called JAI SANTOSHI MAA (1975) which had a production budget of 5 lakh and did a theatrical share of 4 crore apprx which is 80 times its budget. Although the initial budget was only 5 lakh with 16 prints, it went much higher as many more prints were taken out to monetize the film as it was probably never thought it would break out the way it did.

HANUMAN ANSH has a production cost of 2 crore and should do a share of 50 crore at least which is 25 times the budget. But here marketing and prints costs are 1 crore which takes the total cost to 3 crore which means the theatrical share will be at least 17 times the total cost. The total cost of JAI SANTOSHI MAA (1975) after a year of its release would be around 25 lakh apprx or maybe a little more which means theatrical revenue 16 times its a total cost. Basically weird it may sound but HANUMAN ANSH is a historical BLOCKBUSTER.

A film like HUM AAPKE HAIN KOUN (1994) went from 9 lakhs day one to 72 crore final business which is probably the biggest multiplier form day one to lifetime in the last 35 years. It is a multiplier of 800. Here the opening day was 8.50 lakh and the multiplier is going to be much higher than HUM AAPKE HAIN KOUN as HANUMAN ANSH will reach 72 crore nett in the next 2-3 days. The biggest multiplier we have on record is the 1981 film EK DUUJE KE LIYE which went from 10k to 9 crore apprx. There will be others probably as well in terms of multiplier but many films have not been tabulated.

The takeaway from these films is thats its never about the screen count but the content and the public willing to watch that content. There are a lot of complainers in the industry about not getting screens but you will always get the screens your content deserves according to the audience out there to watch your film. Eventually its the public which decides the screen count and nobody can really fight against that.

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Friday - 6,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 12,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 8,00,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Fourth Week - 47,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 59,00,00,000 apprx
-----------------------------------------
The devotional film, HANUMAN ANSH, is creating history and its looks set to demolish all records in week five. The film has just collected 57.50 crore nett in its fourth week which is only less than DHURANDHAR (2025) as far as fourth week business goes for Hindi films. The way that the fifth week has started, it looks almost certain to record the highest fifth week seen in history for a Hindi film.

This week has seen MIRZAPUR release. So, you expect the film to slow a little but its the opposite as collections look like coming out higher than Thursday. Only yesterday, it was written here that the film could do a share of 50 crore at the very least, but now that figure goes towards 75 crore. The 200 crore nett mark could actually be realistic for this film now if it follows through like this next week also.

The fifth week could not only be a record for a Hindi film but also a fifth week record for any film released in India in its multiple versions. This record is held by KANTARA (2022) and here HANUMAN ANSH is on course to beat that with just one Hindi version. This is when box office has no explanation and its not about content either as that level can be judged by the trailer. Its a wave which is just unstoppable at the moment and where it will stop is an unknown. Nevertheless, this wave has made the film the biggest theatrical return on investment HIT in the history of Indian cinema (theatrical share against total cost of film).

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Friday - 6,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 12,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 8,00,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 10,00,00,000 apprx
Fourth Week - 57,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 69,00,00,000 apprx
-----------------------------------------
The devotional film, HANUMAN ANSH, was historic on its fifth Friday as it got the highest collection ever in history for the fifth Friday. It was just not the highest collection for a Hindi film but for any film released in multiple languages in India. The film collected a huge 9 crore nett which has taken the collections of the film to 78 crore nett.

There was a holiday for Janmashtami but it does not really matter for this film as even from Janmashtami, the film looks like going up on Saturday. No film in India has ever collected 50 crore nett in week five and there are good chances this will be the first. The highest collection ever for a HINDI film in week five is DHURANDHAR at 42 crore nett and that will be beaten. KANTARA (2022) holds the record for highest fifth week for a film released in INDIA and that should be beaten as well.

The wave of the film is such that its unstoppable at the moment and where it will stop is an unknown as next week could go on like this or collections could come down to lower levels in the weekdays. They could even go higher as there is a spillover from devotees to the regular audience as the film is doing so well now that it makes more people go to see what the noise is about.

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Friday - 6,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 12,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 8,00,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 10,00,00,000 apprx
Fourth Week - 57,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 9,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 78,00,00,000 apprx
-----------------------------------------
The devotional film, HANUMAN ANSH, is on a record breaking run and there are no words to describe the business it is doing as it records a 45.50 crore nett fifth weekend. This beats the fifth WEEK record of DHURANDHAR's first part in just three days and in four days it will beat KANTARA (2022) which holds the highest fifth week for any film released in India though it was with multiple versions. KANTARA (all versions) was 49 crore nett in week five.

The film is now standing around 115 crore nett after its fifth weekend and its total unknown where the film will go. In the fifth week, you have an idea where a film is going but not with this one. The one certainty now is that 200 crore nett its crossing and then is it 300, 400, 500 or even more only time will tell. The film collected 21 crore nett on Sunday which is its highest day so far and its quite possible bigger days are still to come.

This sort of thing is more than just a film and its only ever happened once in history with JAI SANTOSHI MAA (1975) and this is a repeat. It can probably only happen with a devotional/religious film when it really catches on. Post pandemic there have been some huge break outs like THE KASHMIR FILES and MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA but HANUMAN ANSH is at a different level. Its going to be up there with the likes of JAI SANTOSHI MAA (1975), EK DUUJE KE LIYE (1981), NADIYA KE PAAR (1982) and a few others for the greatest breakouts ever seen in the history of Indian cinema.

The collections of HANUMAN ANSH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000
Week Two - 47,00,000
Week Three - 10,13,00,000
Week Four - 57,98,00,000
Friday - 9,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 15,25,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 21,00,00,000 apprx
Fifth Weekend - 45,50,00,000 apprx

Toxic collects 131.50 cr in 7 days in Hindi

TOXIC (Hindi) collected 4.50 crore nett on Tuesday as the rejection of the film meant pretty much a flat Tuesday despite the discounted ticket rates. The first week collection has come to 131.50 crore nett. This is the third highest first week collection of the year after DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE and BORDER 2 but the issue is nothing much is to come from here on.

This next two days might add another 6 crore nett for an extended first week total of around 137 crore nett. 150 crore nett will be tough from here as the film will see another let down on Friday when MIRZAPUR THE MOVIE arrives. The film will see better numbers in the likes of Bihar, Odisha and CP Berar when compared with other films released this year. However, that's mainly down to the first day. In Odisha, it will probably have a similar figure to BORDER 2.

The all India business of all the versions is 214 crore nett apprx over the first week with limited contribution from all the southern states. The extended first week will fall short of 225 crore nett and from there, it will be just some collections for the Hindi and Kannada version. But this will not be enough to take it to 250 crore nett.

The collections of TOXIC (Hindi) are as follows.
Wednesday - 53,50,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 22,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 18,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 14,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,31,50,00,000 apprx

Toxic collects 127 cr in 6 days in Hindi; 278.50 cr in 5 days worldwide in all languages

A still from Toxic

Box Office India Trade Network

TOXIC (Hindi) collected 123 crore over its extended five day weekend with dwindling collections every day as Sunday was the lowest day of the five days. This is despite the Raksha Bandhan period when collections are inflated in certain states. The film started off with such a huge 53 crore nett first day that you would think even on a worse case scenario it would get to 200 crore nett. That would have been a fair result.

Now with the coming falls it could be struggle to reach even 150 crore nett. The rejection is similar to what films like THUGS OF HINDOSTAN (2018) and ZERO (2019) faced. TOXIC, after a 50 crore nett plus opening day, will now be targeting a 5 crore nett Monday and considering how the weekend has gone, it would be no surprise if it does not get there. The fate of the film is worse in South as the home market of Mysore/Karnataka collected 47.50 crore nett including collections of the Hindi version. The rest of the southern states are even worse.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 did 135 crore plus lifetime in Mysore/Karnataka while KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 was 190 crore plus. KGF - CHAPTER 1 did almost 100 crore and here its looking 60-65 crore nett end. For the biggest Kannada film in history, it will be less than both DHURANDHAR and DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE. Not to forget that Hindi films have limitations in Mysore/Karnataka.

The collections of TOXIC(Hindi) are as follows.
Wednesday - 53,50,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 22,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 18,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 14,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,22,75,00,000 apprx
----------------------------------------
TOXIC had a disappointing weekend overseas but its not a huge surprise as Kannada films don't have much of a market and a lot is down to other versions to score. Here, it came down to Telugu version for initial and eventually Hindi version. Unlike India, the Hindi version was going to be dependent on the content as the craze was not like India and there is not much to say on the content now. The film got a big deal in terms of Overseas distribution rights but the risk is there being a Kannada film which has a far less audience than the other South Indian film industries.

The film collected $4 million overseas in five days and there will be nothing much coming post the weekend. The collections in India for the five day weekend were 200 crore nett apprx (241 cr GBOC) which gave it 278.50 crore for the extended five day weekend total worldwide. If we take the normal 3 day weekend, then the film stood at 210 crore apprx which is less than KANTARA: A LEGEND – CHAPTER 1 which managed 216 crore. KGF - CHAPTER 2 was a phenomenal 535 crore over the normal three day weekend.

The worldwide collections of TOXIC worldwide for its extended weekend for all versions are as follows.
India - 241 crore (200 crore nett)
Overseas - 37.50 crore ($3.9 million)
TOTAL - 278.50 crore
----------------------------------------
TOXIC (Hindi) went down further on Monday, as expected, with collections of 4.25 crore nett only. The film had pretty much crashed over the weekend and so, there was no hope for Monday. For the record, the total stands at 127 crore nett for six days. The first week will be around 131 crore nett and the extended first week will probably be around 137 crore nett.

This probably means that the film will fall short of the 150 crore nett mark. The results are like THUGS OF HINDOSTAN and BESHARAM, where the first day is 35% of the total business of the film. The film may not have done well in Hindi but the results are far worse in South as it collected 2 crore nett in Mysore/Karnataka and its all India total will be around 7 crore nett.

The collections of TOXIC (Hindi) are as follows.
Wednesday - 53,50,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 22,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 18,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 14,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,27,00,00,000 apprx

Hanuman Ansh collects 18.10 cr in 22 days

Box Office India Trade Network

HANUMAN ANSH, a film released almost 3 weeks back, is a success and may prove a HIT film as collections picked up hugely in the third week. The film is based on a spiritual saint Neeb Karori Baba, and did nothing for two weeks as there was no awareness. However, a change in marketing is said to built up this awareness with the followers of the saint and there has been an insane pick up of collections. Its difficult to say where the followers will take the film but on the costs, its sure to do well.

The film did around 10 lakhs nett on the first day and around 90 lakhs in the first week and then 40 lakhs nett in the second week. The third Friday was 15 lakh nett and was nothing much there but then Saturday went to 85 lakhs nett. Sunday was excellent with 2.25 crore nett but the best day was still to come as Tuesday was an extraordinary 2.35 crore nett.

Despite the release of TOXIC, the film still managed to hold well and looks to have collected 1.50 crore nett on Wednesday which gives the film 9.75 crore nett till date with a lot more to come as TOXIC is not going to affect this film much. The film is doing best in Delhi/UP, East Punjab and Mumbai.

This devotional/religious angle seems to be really working at the moment as a Telugu film IRUMUDI is doing extraordinary due to this devotional factor as well in Nizam/Andhra though that is devotion with a commercial format while here with HANUMAN ANSH, its a true life story.

It may not be cinema in the true format whereas films like GUNGA JUMNA, SHOLAY or GADAR create sensations not only when they released but with the next generations as well. But the fact is this sort of content has an audience today and gets collections and that's the bottom line. Sometimes it can go to levels which are unthinkable and with limited investments. Obviously it will lead to forced devotion in films which may not even require it but that's how trends work.

Before the pandemic, this type of content did not find an audience and it basically shows there is a slightly different audience profile as compared to before the pandemic. There were so many devotional films based on saints or gods but practically all went unnoticed.
-------------------------------------
The devotional film, HANUMAN ANASH, based on the life of Neeb Karori Baba, is now going to another level and it collected more than 6 crore nett on its fourth Friday. The film had started with just 10 lakhs nett on day one and 90 lakhs nett in week one could go anywhere. To which level this breakout will go is an unknown. The fourth Friday is the second best of the year after DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE and it will be challenging the Ranveer Singh-starrer over the coming weeks. It will all depend on how many of the followers of the Baba go to the theatres to watch the film as now awareness is there and the word is spreading.

It is certain that 6 crore nett is not going by the highest day and it may well hit double digits on the weekend. The film will probably be competing with TOXIC soon as the trajectory here is up while for that film it is down. The collections so far are 18 crore nett but it will be hitting 50 crore nett in now time and god knows where it will go from there.

HANUMAN ANASH is a HIT and probably is sure to go up a notch or two and you never know even more when this sort of thing happens. The break out reminds of those smaller budget blockbusters of yore which started their journey with a few thousand and went on to do multiple crores. The film is lesser in the South and East but the other circuits are outstanding especially North India.

The collections of HANUMAN ANASH till date are as follows.
Week One - 90,00,000 apprx
Week Two - 45,00,000 apprx
Week Three - 10,50,00,000 apprx
Friday - 6,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 18,10,00,000 apprx

Awarapan 2 collects 140.93 cr in 2 weeks; Batwara collects 31.04 cr

Batwara 1947 vs Awarapan 2. Pics via Instagram

Box Office India Trade Network

AWARAPAN 2 had a good second week collecting 29 crore nett though the last two days got hard due to the release of TOXIC. The drop in the second week is 74% but that does not matter much considering the huge first week of the film. The last two days of the week have curtailed its run but TOXIC now will not be much of a force and it remains to be seen if AWARAPAN 2 can recover somewhat.

There is the Raksha Bandhan period over the weekend which the film can take advantage of as showcasing should get better as TOXIC is falling. The film stands at 141 crore nett after 2 weeks and if it is to reach 150 crore nett, a lot will depend on what it can do this weekend though realistically 150 crore nett looks tough. If there was no TOXIC, then the film would have got there.

Still the film is the third biggest HIT of the year after DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE and BORDER 2 and lifts the standing of Emran Hashmi and Disha Patani. It also shows that initials come without the big budgets. There is the sequel factor here which gets credited the initial but there was no sequel factor with EK DEEWANE KI DEEWANIYAT and TERE ISHK MEIN. This means that this type of film holds heavy appeal especially in the northern and central belts.

The collections of AWARAPAN 2 till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,12,08,00,000
Friday - 5,25,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 8,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 8,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 2,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 2,75,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 75,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 60,00,000 apprx
Second Week - 28,85,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,40,93,00,000 apprx

BATWARA 1947 had a dull second weekend as it collected a little more than 2 crore nett takings its ten day total to 31 crore nett. The film will fall short of the 35 crore nett mark mark and finish with lifetime business of 33 crore nett.

The collections of BATWARA 1947 are as follows.
Week One - 28,94,00,000
Friday - 50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 75,00,000 apprx
