VEERE DI WEDDING had a good weekend of 35 crore nett which is well above the expectations that anybody could have had for the film even probably the makers themselves. The film has scored excellent collections in Delhi/UP and East Punjab and other circuits which are dominated by multiplexes are good. Mumbai has under performed for the film due to the Gujarat/Saurashtra belt which is a conservative circuit dominated by the family audience. So this type of film will find it hard to collect there.

The trend is so so over the weekend and pretty flat but that was also the case for BAAGHI 2 but the main difference is that BAAGHI 2 had mass appreciation and was a film which was universal. Here its an urban film with limited appreciation restricted to a few cities so it could have done with more growth.

Saturday - 11,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 12,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 35,00,00,000 apprx

The film is a success unless it crashes out on Monday but there is still work to do to become a HIT film and for that the weekdays are crucial. The hold does not need to be huge on Monday and it needs to have that normal weekday trend which will be good enough for the film.

The core Hindi film audience has not really taken to the film but it does not need to do a huge number to be a HIT film and as long as the target audience in the metros is there for the next ten days or so it should put up a good lifetime total.

BHAVESH JOSHI SUPERHERO collected 90-95 lakhs nett over its first weekend and it is even lower than other duds by the same director like UDAAN and TRAPPED which managed to get over the 1 crore nett mark.
