Ekta Kapoor’s Diwali bash is famous for its card parties and delicious desi spread. And on Tuesday, it drew Bollywood stars in droves — from papa Jeetendra’s buddies, Rishi Kapoor and Rakesh Roshan, to Jaya Bachchan, from Ileana D’Cruz with steady date, Aussie lensman Andrew Kneebone, to Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt hanging out with the same gang that included her close friend, Akanksha Ranjan.
The trio left soon after to attend Sanjay Kapoor’s 52nd birthday bash, accompanied by Karan Johar and Sonam Kapoor twinning in Abu-Sandeep outfits. “Arjun Kapoor caught up with singer Guru Randhawa. He was in fact the one to recommend one of the singer’s tracks for Vidya Balan’s upcoming film, Tumhari Sullu. There was major bonding happening between Aditya Roy Kapur, exflame Rhea Chakraborty, actor Shaad Randhawa and Pooja,” informed a guest, adding that the 12-15 card tables ensured that everyone’s attention was on Teen Patti and not naach-gaana.
Co-stars and good friends Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon were kareeb kareeb all evening. Kriti also hit it off with her Bareilly Ki Barfi director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari while Ekta posed with Sushant Singh Rajput, and captioned the picture, “Pavitra Rishta tere mere man ka.”
The gracious hostess also got clicked with the Veere Di Wedding gang of Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, Shikha Talsania and co-producer Rhea Kapoor, who exulted, “Sistaah to my left, sistaaah to my right, together we grow and together we fight (mindsets, not each other).” Producer Tanuj Garg, Sooraj Pancholi, Sophie Choudry, Tehseen Poonawalla, Imtiaz Khatri and Guru hung out at the bar while the telly gang of Mouni Roy, Karishma Tanna, Adaa Khan and Mona Singh made memories together.
