At the press conference for the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards 2017, Alia Bhatt was asked which according to her were the most deserving movies of the year and she rattled off, “Kapoor & Sons, Neerja and Dangal.” Mentor Karan Johar pouted, saying she’d forgotten his directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and she retorted, “Karan I do remember Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and ek tarfa pyaar.”

KJo responded by saying his onesided love is for Alia while hers is for her own film, recalling a moment later that he had produced Kapoor & Sons. Not to be undone, his ‘student’ was quick to point out that she had made a fleeting appearance in his Diwali release.

KJo is hosting the award function on January 14 with his good friend Shah Rukh Khan.

Alia is scheduled to perform at the awards show and said that maybe one day she would host the function as well.
