Bollywood has always been the charm factor when it comes to the packaging of cracker boxes.But this year, when we went around popular markets in the city, we saw that it's not just Bollywood, but also high-fliers from the fields of Hollywood, sports as well as cartoons that are adorning cracker boxes this year. Not surprisingly, Katrina Kaif, remains the most popular choice for patakhas, thanks to her connect with the masses. Then comes Deepika Padukone, along with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta.

BOLLYWOOD HOTTIES
Besides leading actresses, the recent entrant in the pataka market is Sunny Leone. Mostly, sparklers and rockets have these popular actresses on their boxes, as they have the maximum demand. Actors don't really reign the cracker market, however all time favourite Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor can be seen on a few cracker boxes too. Shilpa Shetty, Ayesha Takia, Ameesha Patel and Anushka Sharma are also popular faces. We spotted a 120-shots cracker that features Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, which was the most popular item in the stall and had already sold 287 boxes till a couple of days ago.

Some popular NBA players are seen on shots, especially the one that blow up in multiple rows.

PATAKHA GUDDI IS PATAKHA STAR
Alia Bhatt too has made her debut in the cracker market, all thanks to her growing connect with the masses. The young star's face can be found all over phoojhadi boxes.

HOLLYWOOD STARS AND MOVIE STILLS
Arnold Schwarzenegger too can be seen on the box of one of the biggest rockets available in the market. “He is seen in his famous Terminator avatar on this box of rockets that go high in the air and then burst into multiple colours. The size of these rockets are huge, hence Arnold,“ says Pratapsingh Khona, owner of a fireworks store. A parachute cracker has actress Marilyn Monroe's iconic skirt blowing picture; making it suit the cracker type. You can also spot Brendan Frazer in his The Mummy avatar on a few cracker boxes.

Sci-fi is another favourite with cracker shoppers as there are boxes that have Harry Potter; kids get excited with these as they can relate to the special effects from the films.
