SAIYAARA is coming to the end of its run and it looks like a 566 crore worldwide close for the film which puts it among the top fifteen grossers ever worldwide. There are eighteen films to have crossed 500 crore worldwide but all are big budgets films. SAIYAARA and GADAR 2 are the only films to hit the 500 crore plus mark with budgets of under 100 crore.

The film is driven in India by action circuits like UP and Bihar and in Overseas it is the United Kingdom and this behavior means one thing it is the MUSIC pushing the film. It is a rare to remember a love story film being driven by circuits like UP and Bihar at this level in the history of Indian cinema. The only one which comes to mind in the 1976 BLOCKBUSTER, LAILA MAJNU, but that was in a different zone and more of a period love story.

The Overseas business is actually more impressive than India with United Kingdom crossing £3 million and the film being the second biggest grosser ever there after PATHAAN. The film has a huge following with the Pakistani community thanks to the song becoming a craze and a huge following with the females. In UK, a film needs such a following from the Pak audience to put up such incredible numbers.

The insane success film will see a lot of love stories with newcomers being attempted but nothing much changes for the genre as SAIYAARA is a one off where everything just fell into place and repeat attempts will be futile as you cant repeat these sort of things.

SAIYAARA held up well it its fourth weekend as it collected 10 crore nett. The film had the benefit of Raksha Bandhan over the weekend but its did not jump as much as the some of the other films as it has pretty much exhausted its run. The collections stand at 318 crore nett and it should finish in the 325 crore nett range which will make its the 11th highest grossing original Hindi film of all time.

The footfalls of the film are looking to end at around 1.90 crore and there is no comparison to this in recent times for a new cast film. We can compare older films but the value of footfalls in each era is different. In fact the real value of 1.9 crore footfalls today is more than if a film did the same pre pandemic and we are not talking about value in terms of the numbers. Its much tougher to get a larger number to the theatres today than in 2019.

SON OF SARDAAR 2 managed to get benefit of the Raksha Bandhan period as it showed decent collections on Saturday and Sunday though it does not matter much as the damage was done in the first weekend. The film collected 8.50 crore nett in its second weekend taking its total to 41 crore nett.

SAIYAARA was rock steady on its fourth Friday as it collected a similar number to Thursday. The film had seen a drop last week but its a different story this week. SAIYAARA collected a solid 2 crore nett on the fourth Friday and it can benefit from the Raksha Bandhan period over the weekend though it would have been better from a box office point of view if this period came in the weekdays. The film has collected 310 crore nett so far.

The film is the top grosser of the year already in East Punjab, West Bengal, Bihar and Assam with Delhi/UP,  Rajasthan and Odisha likely to follow. SAIYAARA had a good third week as it collected 29 crore nett. The drop is there of 70% plus from the previous week due to the competition but overall its a healthy week with a near 30 crore nett number coming. The film will be steadier this week due to a lack of competition. The run will be curtailed due to the release of WAR 2 on Thursday and its probably looking to get to around 325 crore nett lifetime business depending on the the third Friday.

SAIYAARA crossed the 500 core mark worldwide after eighteen days as overseas continues to go super strong while India has slowed a little due to the competition. The collections in overseas have crossed the $15 million mark but still its daily business in the weekdays of the third week is more than day one.

The film probably has the potential to reach $20 million in Overseas which puts up it above every newcomer film in history of Indian cinema as far as the overseas markets goes. Only BOBBY (1973), which smashed records in many overseas circuits, is comparable and its just INCOMPARABLE to any other films with new cast.

The United Kingdom has crossed £2 million and could see the film among the top three ever with only the Shah Rukh Khan starrers PATHAAN and JAWAN ahead. If the fourth weekend comes up again with strong numbers, then even JAWAN may well be beaten. Gulf is the next best market and it could see an all time top ten finish here as well as its in line for a $6 million end.

The worldwide total for the film is 503 crore and with the slowdown in India, it may fall a little short of 600 crore now as it seems a 575 crore finish now which is and extraordinary and unthinkable number for this film. The Overseas numbers are just insane as in India, you always have a chance with a small film on content but Overseas is a different kettle of fish. Hence, to get $20 million or close just leaves you speechless.

SAIYAARA had a good third weekend of 19.50 crore nett which takes the film to 299 crore nett. The collections of the film have seen a drop in the third weekend due to the competition and holdover release MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA. But overall numbers remain good and more so considering the run it has had so far.

The drop is going to be in the 70% region this week but that will change next week as there are no major releases. So, it will drop much less. The film is a huge BLOCKBUSTER and the second biggest HIT of the year after CHHAAVA. Overseas has continued its fantastic run and no new cast film has seen such numbers and its doing better there now than India.

SAIYAARA collected a solid 4.75 crore nett on its third Friday which is a drop from last Friday of over 70%. Nevertheless, its still a strong collection as this sort of number on day one would have actually been seen as a decent number and here its coming on the third Friday. The film is still ahead of new release DHADAK 2 and may go ahead of other new release SON OF SARDAAR 2 on Saturday.

The collections of the film stand at 284 crore nett and its probably looking to hit the 300 crore nett by the end of the weekend. This mark could have been hit earlier but the film has taken a hit from MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA in its second week. The film remains best in Delhi/UP with collections at around 70 crore nett though now it wont do 100 crore nett in the circuit which looked locked on the first week trend. The film has actually fared more like an action film than a love story with North, Central and Bihar (all traditionally action strongholds) leading the way.

SAIYAARA collected a huge 106 crore nett plus in its second week which is the tenth highest collection ever for the second week and it has beaten many of the bigger films. But there were drops on the weekdays in week two. The drops were normal weekdays ones but considering the run of this film in the first 8-9 days, they were more. The two week business of film is 280 crore nett

The drop probably happened because MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA really started to make ground and also maybe because eventually SAIYAARA is mainly a film for the youth and had already racked up huge numbers. So, it was bound to feel the heat at some point. There is likely to be another drop on the third Friday as it loses showcasing due to the new releases and MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA.

The film will also have a curtailed run due to WAR 2 releasing in two weeks as collections after the release of WAR 2 will be limited. The film is a huge BLOCKBUSTER and among the biggest love story films ever seen in Hindi cinema. The film is now probably looking at a close of 325-350 crore nett depending on where the third Friday lands. The victory of SAIYAARA is that its not a franchise film or a scale/action film yet has done these huge numbers. SAIYAARA had another double digit day with collections of 10 crore nett as it went a little higher than the Monday due to the lower rates. The drop was a little higher on Monday than it should have been. So, it was inevitable that there would be a jump the next day. This takes the film to 92.50 crore nett in week two and it should be hitting the 100 crore nett.

The film now stands at 266 crore nett and should close the week at over 280 crore nett. The competition of MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA has affected the collections of the film which has made that route to 400 crore nett harder as the animated flick will act like a new film this week. On top, there are two major releases also. The film is for sure doing 350 crore nett plus and that itself is an insane total for a film like this.

The film is the biggest HIT of the year in most parts of the country and in Overseas but the historic business of CHHAAVA in Maharashtra means overall, that film leads. The victory of SAIYAARA is that its not a franchise film or a scale/action film yet has done these huge numbers. SAIYAARA recorded an extraordinary second weekend in overseas as it collected $3.85 million which is almost double of the first weekend. The total collections of the film stand at $8.9 million in ten days and it will be the highest grosser of 2025 in overseas within two weeks.

In a market like Australia, the film started with a low A$25k on day one but has now crossed the A$900k mark. So, its an easy A$1 million total despite that very low opening day. In United Kingdom, the film has crossed the £1 million mark which is extraordinary for a non cast film. It will become the highest Hindi grosser in 2024-2025 in UK. Only PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE, FIGHTER and STREE 2 have managed to cross £1 million.

Gulf remains the top market with business around $3 million and here its chasing Eid release SIKANDAR which did $3.4 million. SAIYAARA will topple that figure and should go over $4 million. The worldwide numbers of the film are now 375 crore plus in ten days and the film looks to be heading towards the 600 crore mark.

SAIYAARA had its first noticeable fall on its second Monday as it collected 9 crore nett apprx although this is still a fantastic number. The film has dropped around 50% from Friday which is a little more than normal but since the discounted Tuesday has started, there have been bigger drops on Monday for the holdover films.

The film now stands at 256 crore nett with a second week total of 82.50 crore nett so far. The second week is sure to cross 100 crore nett and will probably settle at around 105 crore nett. The film has also probably been affected by MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA, especially over the last couple of days as that film has also found an audience. So basically, the second week has not turned out to be an open week like it was expected.

The film is extraordinary in East India as its already the highest grossing film of 2025 in West Bengal and Bihar with both circuits being around the 12.50 crore nett mark till date. The film will cross a film like ANIMAL in Bihar in the next 5-7 days.

SAIYAARA had a fantastic second weekend of 73.50 crore nett which takes the film to a huge 247 crore nett in ten days. The growth on Sunday could have been better but Sunday saw weak growth for most of the films out there and it could be down to the family crowds going for the animation film on Sunday which bucked the trend with huge growth. The film went up 50% on Saturday and 10% on Sunday.

The weekend is down around 10% from the first weekend which is a fantastic trend. But the film is now seeing competition from Saturday with MAHAVATAR NARSIMHA doing well so well which means a choice for the Hindi belt crowd. It had looked like an open week for the film which has not turned out to be the case.

The film is on course for a 100 crore nett plus second week which has been done by only 7 other original Hindi films and two dubbed Hindi films. SAIYAARA will be the tenth Hindi film to hit a century in the second week. The film has collected around 65 crore nett in Mumbai and Delhi/UP stands at around 57 crore nett. The film is extraordinary in East India as its already the highest grossing film of 2025 in West Bengal and Bihar.

SAIYAARA hit a huge Friday with collections of 18 crore nett which is around 5% down from the previous day. The overall total of the film is 190 crore nett in eight days and its probably looking to hit the 300 crore nett mark by the end of the week. The collections on the second Friday are also only 15% down form the first day.

The film is almost certain to collect more on its second Saturday than it did on its first Saturday and Sunday could also be more. If that happens, it will mean that the second Sunday will be the highest day of its run and second weekend being more than the first weekend. This also happened with THE KASHMIR FILES in 2022 but that film did not put up a 80 crore nett first weekend.

If it manages to get a better second weekend, then it will be first time when the first weekend is over 50 crore nett. There is always a chance you can do when the first weekend is low but when the first weekend collects strong numbers, then it is much tougher.

The film continues to score huge in Delhi/UP as it closes on in 50 crore nett in the circuit. The film has chances to reach 100 crore nett in the circuit which has only been done by the 500 crore nett films.

SAIYAARA hit its first $1 million day in Overseas on its second Friday which is more than double of the first day which was around $425k. The jumps are across the boards and this takes the film to a total of over $6 million.

The film will beat CHHAAVA in Gulf by the end of the weekend and probably beat HOUSEFULL 5 by the end of the week. The film will become the highest grossing film in overseas of 2025 as it will easily cross the $10 million of CHHAAVA .

The first week was $5 million and the second week will have a chance to beat that but even if its does not, the second weekend will be much higher. The lifetime of the film in overseas is still hard to say as it could run for a long time and keep on surpassing the expectations.

SAIYAARA maintained its superb run on the last day of the week as it recorded collections of 19 crore nett. This gives the film a total of 172 crore nett in the first week which already makes it the second highest grosser of the year as it beats the numbers of RAID 2. This 172 crore nett itself is a crazy number for the film and there is much more to come.

The Thursday of the film has landed just 10% less than the first day showing phenomenal trending over the weekdays and there is a possibility that the film could go a little higher on its second Friday which will mean that the first day is pretty much similar to the day. This strength is not coming on collections at levels of 3-4 crore nett but at 20 crore nett levels which shows the appreciation the film has found.

As its a non cast film, you would expect the bigger centres to lead but its not the case here as its mass areas leading with stronger collections be it UP, Bihar, Rajasthan and MP. The collections in Bihar could beat the likes of ANIMAL and BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION, which is unthinkable for a film like this in this single screen dominated circuit.

SAIYAARA recorded phenomenal collection overseas over the weekdays as it collected $2 million apprx on the weekend and added $3 million over the weekdays. The Sunday growth in overseas signalled that the weekdays were going to see some strong holds and that is what happened. The film is now on a huge run overseas where Day 8 will be far bigger than day 1.

The film has collected $1.75 million in US/Canada and $1.8 million in Gulf. United Kingdom is also outstanding at £540k. Australia had started lower compared to the other circuits but has done very well post Monday.  The film looks on course for an easy $10 million total in Overseas and its the second week that will define how much further it will go.

The worldwide numbers of the film are now 250 crore plus in one week at 251.50 crore and the film looks set to cross the 600 crore mark worldwide.

SAIYAARA remained above the 20 crore nett mark as it picked up 21.50 crore nett which is pretty much similar to the first day. There are circuits that remain above the first day like Mumbai, CP Berar and Mysore. Basically the circuits which were a little less comparatively. The film stands at a phenomenal 153 crore nett and its looking like a 172-173 crore nett first week.

The film was coming off those discounted rates on Tuesday and could have fallen more like the other holdovers have but this film is a on a run and is just unstoppable at the moment. The trend is such that it would be no surprise if the second Friday is similar to the first Friday as there is a chance that the film will go up on the Friday compared to Thursday due to no competition. There is THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS but that will be South and metros and the run in of SAIYAARA in Hindi circuits will be unaffected. In South, there is another big film anyway hitting collections in Nizam.

This second week will be challenging the biggest film South there. Maybe the numbers of of PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE or CHHAAVA are a step too far but the rest it is for sure to challenge.

SAIYAARA recorded another phenomenal day with collections being better than Monday in many places especially North India. There were discounted rates which also helped but that pretty much become irrelevant the way this film is going. The film collected a huge 24.50 crore nett which now takes the film to 131.50 crore nett. There will be a drop today but the craze is such that it will be no surprise if the film gets another day in that 20 crore nett range

The film has created history as it will be among the biggest hits of Hindi cinema featuring newcomers but the next three days will give some idea where the film is going. The 300 crore nett number, which looked a realistic target after the weekend, seems done as it will easily hit that mark. Now its about can the film go towards for 400 crore nett or even go higher.

This film has done extraordinary business everywhere except maybe Tamil Nadu and Kerala but these markets are pretty much irrelevant in the bigger scheme of things as if these out perform then its likely you have a problem in the bigger markets. Despite numbers being extraordinary across the board it is Delhi/UP which is the standout as centres in UP record numbers which no one can even imagine. The numbers here are comparable to biggest films of the state be it PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE or GADAR 2.

The film is probably targeting a 170 crore nett first week which means lifetime collections of RAID 2, HOUSEFULL 5 and SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR all covered in one week flat.

SAIYAARA recorded the ninth highest first Tuesday of all time and if we take non holiday, then its actually the third highest ever with only PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE and ANIMAL managing better numbers when Tuesday did not fall on some sort of holiday. It is the highest first Tuesday of the year also beating CHHAAVA. The Tuesday of CHHAAVA was a day before a while holiday though that is probably compensated by the discounted tickets of SAIYAARA.

In the Delhi/UP circuit, the collections on Tuesday are more than double of CHHAAVA . It will also edge past the Delhi/UP numbers of PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE on the first Tuesday which is a phenomenal achievement. SAIYAARA also scored a higher Tuesday over some of biggest budget Hindi films post pandemic like JAWAN and PATHAAN.

The industry puts a lot of importance to the national numbers but again SAIYAARA is a reminder that the lower the ratio goes when a film is a collecting good numbers, then the bigger hit it will be. A film like SAIYAARA has gone down to 46% ratio on some of the days so far which even films like JAWAN and ANIMAL were not able to do despite the action factor in those films.

SAIYAARA hit an insane Monday as it collects the highest Monday of the year with collections in the 23.50-24 crore nett range. The film has beaten the numbers of CHHAAVA on Monday which itself had a huge hold on Monday. The film is showing a 10% jump on Monday as collections in Mumbai circuit go up by a margin and other circuits which were slightly lesser like CP Berar and Nizam/Andhra also show jumps.

The circuits which were extraordinary on day one like Delhi/UP, Bihar and Rajasthan are also outstanding as they hold collections very close to Monday levels. A Bihar doing a 1 crore nett plus number on Monday is simply unthinkable for a film like this. The collections on Monday in this single screen dominated circuit are more than ANIMAL, JAWAN and PATHAAN.

This is a very rare Monday as collections don't go up due to the drop in tickets but here admits have probably gone up by around 20% compared to Friday to give it this growth. The film is standing at 107 crore nett so far in four days and collections are set to go up again on Tuesday due to the discounted rates. The rates have not gone down to the level of cheap Tuesday but are less than a regular Tuesday as makers are tagetting that youth college growing crowd as much as possible.

The film could be looking at a 170 crore nett first week though now its about how the film holds on the Wednesday after the Tuesday which is going to get heavy footfalls. If the Wednesday comes out with another 20 crore nett number then the film could be looking to cover around 300 crore nett in just two weeks flat.

The industry will be getting the notebooks out discussing the learnings from this film and will come out with hundreds of reasons but in reality there are no explanations when this happens to a film. Even the director or producers will not have a clue what has happened. It is the same before SAIYAARA and the same after SAIYAARA.

The idea was and always will be when you tell a story, whatever that maybe, you tell it in a way that it has the widest reach possible. Now if its a flop or hit, that will only be known on release but at least the attempt should be to REACH the widest audience possible. This has not been happening in the Hindi film industry for many years as 70-80% of the major releases don't have reach. Maybe this can change now with results of SAIYAARA as without REACH, box office numbers will always be hard to come by.

The SAIYAARA wave has also hit overseas as the collections on Monday are not only more than Friday but also Saturday which has not been seen before or at least for a very long time. This was on the cards when Sunday collections jumped 30% when normally you are flat on a best case scenario.

The weakest market Australia saw huge improvement on Monday while even the strongest markets like US/Canada and Gulf saw big jumps. Gulf was almost $250k which is the highest Monday number in the circuit this year. The total collections in Overseas were $700k on Monday giving the film an overall total of $2.65 million.

The $10 million mark may look far but with this genre and the craze building in overseas with each passing it day, it will be very much possible and in a month or so time we could be looking at a film which is the top grosser in Overseas in 2025. It would be a huge run to turn a $2 million weekend in $10 million lifetime but it is very much on.

SAIYAARA recorded the sixteenth highest Monday collection on record though if we take out the holiday factor, it goes into the top ten and becomes the ninth highest Monday ever. The film has beaten Monday figures of films like CHHAAVA, SIMMBA and WAR

If we look the films in the top twenty then only SAIYAARA and GADAR 2 are films with a cost of under 100 crore. SAIYAARA is also the only love story as well on the list as it easily beats the 17 crore nett plus Monday number of KABIR SINGH. It will get even better for SAIYAARA on Tuesday as its will be among the top ten and it will be among the biggest non holiday first Tuesdays of all time.

The weekdays are set for the film and now its about where it can land on Friday and where it stands among the big grossers. PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE, CHHAAVA and ANIMAL are the only films to see a Friday over 20 crore nett. Although that maybe too much of an ask for SAIYAARA, its not totally out of the question especially if Wednesday manages a 20 crore nett number.

SAIYAARA went crazy on Sunday as it collected an insane 34.75-35 crore nett taking the weekend total to around 82 crore nett. The film was always going to be do a huge number on Sunday as those mass crowds that came Friday were going to come back but this number is still much higher than expected. Its basically an endorsement from the family crowd which films directed by Mohit Suri will not have seen in the past and what an endorsement that is.

The Sunday number means the film is now unstoppable and could go anywhere. The whole demographic is on board from masses to family crowd, that too across all circuits. Mumbai circuit, which has been less over the first two days, will finally be close to what it should be on Sunday and on Monday, this circuit is it sure to be similar to its Friday number if not more. Gujarat saw a bonkers jump on Sunday and this will be because families have taken to it.

The Sunday has seen crazy jumps of 50% more. A circuit like CP Berar has gone up 60% and this is coming from huge number itself on Saturday. The biggest craze of the film is in Delhi/UP and Bihar as certain cinemas here will break records of the likes of GADAR 2 and PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE.

Delhi/UP is just out of this world and will be looking at a total of 21 crore nett over the weekend. To put that number in perspective, CHHAAVA was 24 crore nett over the WEEK and HOUSEFULL 5 was 26 crore nett. This means that SAIYAARA will cover the week totals of these films in just four days despite being released on far lesser cinemas. The film is now going to go on an insane run and records are bound to fall.

SAIYAARA has scored in overseas as well with a total of $2 million apprx which puts it ahead of films like KESARI CHAPTER 2 and RAID 2. The film opened well enough with a $425 total but like India, it was Sunday which told the story as Sunday collected around $850k which was much higher than Saturday which is rare in Overseas. If you get a Sunday similar to Saturday, that is great in Overseas. Here, the film has gone $200k higher meaning it is going to go on a run here as well.

The film is less in Australia but the other circuits are excellent led by an outstanding $700k in Gulf. US/Canada is around $625k while United Kingdom will be around £200k. This Sunday means the film is going to go on a run in these markets too. The $2 million total may not look much but for a film with no face value, it is insane as face value is even more important in Overseas than India. The film has a craze in India and that spills over to the audience in Overseas as it creates a curiosity to watch the film.

The worldwide numbers of the film are a huge 116 crore and there is not much to say as the number says it all.

SAIYAARA had a fantastic second day as it collected 25 crore nett showing growth of around 20%. There were some centres which were flat but this itself is a huge achievement considering how the film had opened. The film had basically done unthinkable business on day one in mass centres of North, Bihar, West Bengal and Rajasthan and CI especially for a non star cast film. Hence, growth was going to be difficult in these parts but it will be a different story on Sunday as these areas go to another level.

The bulk of the growth will have come in the Maharashtra/Gujarat pocket which was a little less on Friday and is playing catch up. Although the growth is there in this circuit, it is still behind the others but Sunday can change that. The two day numbers of the film are 46 crore nett and looking at the early figures on Sunday, it will be a 75 crore nett plus weekend for the film for sure.

The film has mass acceptance across the country and now its just about where the Monday lands. No doubt its going to be huge hold on Monday but it will be about how good is the hold and looking at the craze of the film the numbers of films like RAID 2, HOUSEFULL 5 and SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR are sitting ducks for this film and will be done in no time.

The film is a BLOCKBUSTER and the Monday numbers will confirm that. The film is also scoring in Overseas as Gulf, US and United Kingdom all opened very well for a non cast film and the craze in India filtering through to overseas will ensure very good run in overseas also. The first day was $425k apprx.

SAIYAARA recorded the highest opening day collections ever for a film in the LOVE STORY genre as it edged past the numbers of KABIR SINGH. It is a genre which which does not have many films as rom coms have been the flavour of the industry over the last decade or so.

Both films had mass acceptance but it is SAIYAARA which actually opened better in the heavily populated mass circuits while KABIR SINGH was better in Mumbai and South. The phenomenal numbers for SAIYAARA came in Delhi/UP and Bihar more so in UP and Bihar where smaller centres and single screens rocked from the first show.

It was the Delhi/UP number which took the film to 21 crore nett as usually you would expect better numbers in the NCR belt for a film like this with newcomers but it was the opposite here with UP going crazy. It is rare for a film to be 5 crore nett in Mumbai and 6 crore nett in Delhi/UP unless there is a distinct regional flavour but this was not showing up in the trailer. SAIYAARA and KABIR SINGH are the only Love Story genre films to go over 20 crore nett. They are slightly different as KABIR SINGH is what you would call a violent love story and it has a feel of action while SAIYAARA is more in traditional love story zone. But eventually both fall in the same genre.  

KABIR SINGH will be the comparison going forward as well because it looks a ditto weekend for both films and lifetime could also fallow a similar pattern depending on whether SAIYAARA can get a similar Monday.

SAIYAARA has seen a huge first day of around 20-20.5 crore nett as East India sees all records of 2025 beaten with West Bengal and Bihar recording unthinkable collections especially considering the film features newcomers. This is also with a release which is much weaker than the top openers of the year like CHHAAVA, SIKANDAR and HOUSEFULL 5.

The performance of the film was generally outstanding all over. Mumbai circuit could have been better looking at the numbers of other circuits but still a 5 crore nett plus total in Mumbai is also fantastic. North and Central are also outstanding especially as these are the circuits where star value is so important but there are none in this film.

SAIYAARA has come out of the blue and could turn out to be a life saver for the industry looking at a way out of the present mess. It shows the huge importance of music and targeting the youth. Not the youth of those 4-5 metro centres but across the country and this is practically staring the industry in the face. Its upto to the industry to see and adjust if better times are to be seen at the box office. There can be all the talk in the world but eventually results like this in desperate times should bring the change.

If this is not going to get the production sector going, then nothing well and it also shows if the film is right, then theatrical itself will do the job. Its about theatrical and music and then the rest will take care of itself.

The film opened to such great numbers on Friday morning that the corresponding numbers on Saturday morning are less but this happens when a film actually opens well. It was pretty much with every other film till the last 10-15 years when the shift happened as films started working from Saturday. Although collections are less as compared to Friday morning, it will eventually make up ground through the day and maybe come up to the Friday level or even go a little higher. But it hardly makes much difference as the film has worked and is a HIT already and likely to go higher.
