SAIYAARA recorded another phenomenal day with collections being better than Monday in many places especially North India. There were discounted rates which also helped but that pretty much become irrelevant the way this film is going. The film collected a huge 24.50 crore nett which now takes the film to 131.50 crore nett. There will be a drop today but the craze is such that it will be no surprise if the film gets another day in that 20 crore nett range

The film has created history as it will be among the biggest hits of Hindi cinema featuring newcomers but the next three days will give some idea where the film is going. The 300 crore nett number, which looked a realistic target after the weekend, seems done as it will easily hit that mark. Now its about can the film go towards for 400 crore nett or even go higher.

This film has done extraordinary business everywhere except maybe Tamil Nadu and Kerala but these markets are pretty much irrelevant in the bigger scheme of things as if these out perform then its likely you have a problem in the bigger markets. Despite numbers being extraordinary across the board it is Delhi/UP which is the standout as centres in UP record numbers which no one can even imagine. The numbers here are comparable to biggest films of the state be it PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE or GADAR 2.

The film is probably targeting a 170 crore nett first week which means lifetime collections of RAID 2, HOUSEFULL 5 and SITAARE ZAMEEN PAR all covered in one week flat.

SAIYAARA recorded the ninth highest first Tuesday of all time and if we take non holiday, then its actually the third highest ever with only PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE and ANIMAL managing better numbers when Tuesday did not fall on some sort of holiday. It is the highest first Tuesday of the year also beating CHHAAVA. The Tuesday of CHHAAVA was a day before a while holiday though that is probably compensated by the discounted tickets of SAIYAARA.

In the Delhi/UP circuit, the collections on Tuesday are more than double of CHHAAVA . It will also edge past the Delhi/UP numbers of PUSHPA 2 - THE RULE on the first Tuesday which is a phenomenal achievement. SAIYAARA also scored a higher Tuesday over some of biggest budget Hindi films post pandemic like JAWAN and PATHAAN.

The industry puts a lot of importance to the national numbers but again SAIYAARA is a reminder that the lower the ratio goes when a film is a collecting good numbers, then the bigger hit it will be. A film like SAIYAARA has gone down to 46% ratio on some of the days so far which even films like JAWAN and ANIMAL were not able to do despite the action factor in those films.
