SAIYAARA is coming to the end of its run and it looks like a 566 crore worldwide close for the film which puts it among the top fifteen grossers ever worldwide. There are eighteen films to have crossed 500 crore worldwide but all are big budgets films. SAIYAARA and GADAR 2 are the only films to hit the 500 crore plus mark with budgets of under 100 crore.

The film is driven in India by action circuits like UP and Bihar and in Overseas it is the United Kingdom and this behavior means one thing it is the MUSIC pushing the film. It is a rare to remember a love story film being driven by circuits like UP and Bihar at this level in the history of Indian cinema. The only one which comes to mind in the 1976 BLOCKBUSTER, LAILA MAJNU, but that was in a different zone and more of a period love story.

The Overseas business is actually more impressive than India with United Kingdom crossing £3 million and the film being the second biggest grosser ever there after PATHAAN. The film has a huge following with the Pakistani community thanks to the song becoming a craze and a huge following with the females. In UK, a film needs such a following from the Pak audience to put up such incredible numbers.

The insane success film will see a lot of love stories with newcomers being attempted but nothing much changes for the genre as SAIYAARA is a one off where everything just fell into place and repeat attempts will be futile as you cant repeat these sort of things.
