GOOD NEWWZ is now the second highest Akshay Kumar grosser in India at 193 crore nett (25 days) and is the highest Overseas grosser at 297 crore (25 days). In East Punjab it is the top grosser of 2019 with 27 crore nett apprx. CHHAPAAK still has not reached the 30 crore nett mark and is probably looking at a 32 crore nett max finish now and worldwide it will probably fall short of the 50 crore mark unless Overseas has some some collections in the third weekend.

GOOD NEWWZ had a pretty good third week of 14.25 crore nett apprx though it was lower than HOUSEFULL 4 and MISSION MANGAL, the other Akshay Kumar big HITS of 2019. It takes the film to 190 crore nett in three weeks and is looking at an end in the 195-200 crore nett range.

GOOD NEWWZ has slowed in the fourth weekend as it adds 2 crore nett on Friday and Saturday and is probably heading for a weekend of 3.25-3.50 crore nett. The total collections so far are a little under 192 crore nett and it will cross the business of MISSION MANGAL today.

The film will be the sixth highest NETT grosser of 2019 after the weekend behind WAR, KABIR SINGH, URI, HOUSEFULL 4 and BHARAT and it looks the target for the film will be to finish fifth and cross BHARAT. But that may not be easy as there are two releases next week and it will remain in mainly the high end multiplexes of metros and East Punjab circuit. It is the top grosser of 2020 in East Punjab beating KABIR SINGH and WAR.

GOOD NEWWZ is on the verge becoming this highest Akshay Kumar grosser worldwide as it stands at 289 crore (India 219 cr, Overseas 70 cr)  and should soon beat the numbers of HOUSEFULL 4 of 295 crore (India 247 cr, overseas 48 cr). It should beat the HOUSEFULL 4 worldwide numbers in the fourth week and should also become the first Akshay Kumar film to do 300 crore worldwide though it will be a close run.

It won't be able to reach the HOUSEFULL 4 number to become the highest Akshay Kumar grosser. Also, the highest comedy grosser is out of reach now but it will the highest Akshay Kumar grosser in overseas and worldwide and also the biggest comedy film in overseas and worldwide.

GOOD NEWWZ saw a drop on collections on the third weekend due to the releases as it collected 8.75 crore nett. Its still a reasonable collection but the collections were flat on Sunday as core Hindi circuits run out of steam.

There will be benefit of minor holidays over the next few days which should help the week to a pretty good number. The minimal Sunday growth means its unlikely that the film will reach the numbers of HOUSEFULL 4 and the 200 crore nett will depend on where the film stands on the fourth Friday. The film has collected 184.25 crore nett in 17 days till date.

GOOD NEWWZ had a super strong second week of 51 crore nett apprx though it did see the first noticeable drop of its run on the second Thursday. But it has come on the 14th day; so, it hardly matters. The drop in the second week is just a little under 60% which is strong trending. The week numbers for the film are 176 crore nett apprx.

The second week collections of the film are the third highest for 2019 after KABIR SINGH and URI and these three films are only ones to cross 50 crore nett in week two. The film could become the highest NETT grosser of Akshay Kumar depending on the holds over the next two weeks. GOOD NEWWZ maintained steady collections on its second Tuesday collecting around 4.50 crore nett. The total so far for the film is 168 crore nett. The second week is heading for 50-51 crore nett total which will be third best second week total of the year behind KABIR SINGH and URI. It will beat the numbers of HOUSEFULL 4, MISSION MANGAL and WAR.

The film has a grossed a huge 42 crore in Delhi/UP and East Punjab stands at 23 crore nett. It has crossed KESARI in East Punjab and will cross WAR by the end of the week to stand as the second highest grossing film of 2019 in the circuit. GOOD NEWWZ continued to maintain well on its second Monday with collections in the 4.75-5 crore nett range. The holiday period is completely at an end with offices and schools back to normal and keeping that in mind, a near 5 crore nett number is good.

The film should do a 50 crore nett plus second week and both MISSION MANGAL and HOUSEFULL 4 did fall a little short of this mark. This will make it the highest second week for Akshay Kumar this year and highest of career. The total collections after 11 days are 163.50 crore nett and the film is looking at a finish at around the 200 crore nett mark. This would be a huge number for this film as its mainly the big cities contributing. The numbers in mass markets like CP, CI and Gujarat/Saurashtra are even less than MISSION MANGAL. GOOD NEWWZ had an excellent Wednesday with collections of over 20 crore nett as it collected 22.50 crore nett which has taken the six day figure to almost 116 crore nett The weekend of the film was 65 crore nett and it has added a huge 51 crore nett in the last three days due to the holiday period.

The collections on Wednesday were similar to Saturday in the metros but outside the metros the numbers were better which meant a better overall total. The film should now emerge a SUPER HIT though it will be the Friday number which will confirm this. There will be a drop on Thursday also as its the day after the big holiday but a 125 crore nett week should be there for the film and maybe even more.

GOOD NEWWZ has had an excellent first week with collections of 126 crore nett in the first week. The film had a very good numbers over the weekend but the weekdays have held very well and with the benefit of the holiday period it has come out with a very good first week. The film collected 65 crore nett over the weekend and a huge 61 crore nett over the weekdays.

The test was the business on Thursday but it cam e through that with a very strong number in double digits. the drop from Monday to Thursday is just a little over 20% which is excellent as there was the holiday period in between. The film is a sure HIT and should emerge a SUPER HIT with even a decent hold on its second Friday. The film is doing blockbuster numbers in East Punjab and Delhi/NCR with other circuits are generally good barring the likes of Bihar, Odisha and Assam.

GOOD NEWWZ showed good growth of around 40% on its second Saturday to collect 11.50 crore nett. The growth is a bit less for a second Saturday but that is because of the holiday period and some of this Saturday audience would have seen the film over the holiday period.

Still its a very good 11.50 crore nett total taking the the total of the film to 144.50 crore nett. The film remains tops in East Punjab with around 20 crore nett in nine days, it only needs another 5 crore nett in the circuits to become the top grosser in the circuit which it should get. Delhi/UP is next best with 36 crore nett in nine days. Delhi city has collected a phenomenal 16.25 crore nett while Noida is equally outstanding with 5 crore nett. This 21.25 crore nett has come from just 60 theatres in Delhi city and Noida. The other sectors which make up the Delhi/UP circuit are not so strong. Ghaziabad is good while UP state is average.

GOOD NEWWZ had a very good second weekend as it collected 33.50 crore nett and took its ten day total to 158.50 crore nett. The second weekend of the film was very similar to MISSION MANGAL and HOUSEFULL 4 which collected in the 33 crore nett range also.

The film will cross the business of films like SAAHO (Hindi), TOTAL DHAMAAL and KESARI today (Monday) to become the seventh highest grossing film of 2019 and then its likely to finish in the range of 4th-7th as the top three cant be caught. HOUSEFULL 4, BHARAT and MISSION MANGAL are all in the 190-210 crore nett range and GOOD NEWWZ should also end up here though a lot depends on the third week when it faces major competition for TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR and CHAAPAAK. The plus could be these films are not the Delhi/Punjab type of films. So GOOD NEWWZ could still get a big chunk of the audience there where it is so strong.

GOOD NEWWZ collected an excellent 15.50 crore nett on Tuesday as it got the benefit of New Years Eve. The total collections of the film are now 93.50 crore and it will also get a good boost today due to New Years Day. The first week can be in the 125 crore nett range depending on the growth on Wednesday and then the drop on Thursday. A 120 crore nett week is pretty much certain.

The film is continuing its blockbuster run in Delhi/NCR and East Punjab. In the latter it can be the top film of the year the way its going although a lot depends on second Friday.

The film could have done better if ticket rates were held at weekend rates as its mainly a big multiplex film and with this audience higher weekend rates till Wednesday would not have decreased the footfalls. The film could have added 10-15% to its collections.

The total collections of the film are now a solid 78 crore nett and it is pretty much sure to be a HIT even if collections come down post the holiday period. The film should do well over New Years Eve and New Years Day and the week could be around 120 crore nett or even higher. This will be higher than the first week of DABANGG 3 despite having a lower start than that film.

GOOD NEWWZ had a very good weekend as it recorded collections of 65 crore nett over the first three days. The Sunday business was very good as 20% plus growth for this type of film is very good. The general trend over the weekend was good though more growth would have been expected on Saturday. It was one of those weeks where even the holdovers did not grow as they should, on Saturday.

The weekend is the second highest ever for an Akshay Kumar starrer after the 67.39 crore of MISSION MANGAL. KESARI recorded weekend numbers of 54.35 crore nett while HOUSEFULL 4 was 49.26 crore nett though, in pre Diwali period. The film was excellent in North as East Punjab recorded huge collections on Sunday which were only behind the first days of WAR and BHARAT this year. Delhi/NCR was as good as East Punjab but this did not reflect in the Delhi/UP figures as UP numbers are average. Though on Sunday UP, Gujarat/Saurashtra and Rajasthan all recorded good numbers. East is where the film remained low as the starting point there was low on Friday.

GOOD NEWWZ showed good growth of 25% on Saturday as it collected in the 21.50 crore nett range to take its two day total to 39 crore nett. The growth of the film may not be as big as other metro dominated films but that is because other metro films don't have this type of opening day numbers without some sort of holiday factor.

The film is doing fantastic business in Delhi NCR and East Punjab and in the latter it has blockbuster numbers with Sunday sure to top the 3 crore nett mark. The growth on Sunday may not be huge as the higher end multiplexes do not have much space to grow compared to Saturday and so, the growth has to come from mass areas. Wherever it lands on Sunday, it is sure to be a very good weekend for the film. Then there is a the holiday period till Thursday which should ensure that the year ends with a HIT film at the very least.

GOOD NEWWZ collected 17.50 crore nett on day one as the collections picked up in the evening. There was a little hit in UP due to the protests and so collections are a little lower than the earlier estimates. The film has done huge very strong business in Delhi NCR and East Punjab.

The evenings picked up well in all metros as the morning collections did look a little lower which means there should be solid growth today and maybe it could even make ground where it has been hit due to protests in UP. The film has not been hit as bad as DABANGG 3 like last week but there is a hit.

The low collections have come in Gujarat/Saurashtra, Bihar  and Nizam/Andhra and here the film has the potential to pick up well especially Nizam/Andhra. UP is low because of protests but these two are low as the film does not have much initial value due being a North based film and an urban comedy.

Akshay Kumar has already three HITS behind him this year and this one has a good chance to become the fourth as collections should show a solid weekend and then there is a holiday factor till the end of the year to push the film till Wednesday. The East Punjab ratio has come in high at almost 15% probably as the presence of Diljit Dosanjh helped the film here by around 60-70 lakhs.
