GOOD NEWWZ had a very good weekend as it recorded collections of 65 crore nett over the first three days. The Sunday business was very good as 20% plus growth for this type of film is very good. The general trend over the weekend was good though more growth would have been expected on Saturday. It was one of those weeks where even the holdovers did not grow as they should, on Saturday.

The weekend is the second highest ever for an Akshay Kumar starrer after the 67.39 crore of MISSION MANGAL. KESARI recorded weekend numbers of 54.35 crore nett while HOUSEFULL 4 was 49.26 crore nett though, in pre Diwali period. The film was excellent in North as East Punjab recorded huge collections on Sunday which were only behind the first days of WAR and BHARAT this year. Delhi/NCR was as good as East Punjab but this did not reflect in the Delhi/UP figures as UP numbers are average. Though on Sunday UP, Gujarat/Saurashtra and Rajasthan all recorded good numbers. East is where the film remained low as the starting point there was low on Friday.
