Actor-model Anushka Sen recently ticked off skydiving from her bucket list and her Instagram pictures are here to tell the tale.
The actor who skydived from the world’s highest tandem located in the USA talks to us about her experience, sharing how she “wasn’t prepared for it at all.”
“I was so scared and nervous when we planned the whole thing because I have only seen it in movies. I was really freaking out when I signed the papers and got on the flight,” she shares, adding, “But, as soon as I jumped, I felt like a bird and it was the best thing ever. I can easily say that it was the best experience I have ever had.”
Sen, who is fresh from a collaboration with Grammy-awardee Ken Lewis and musician AY Young for a global project titled Project 17, jokes that she tried to calm herself down as soon as she spotted the cameras.
“As soon as I saw the camera roll, I knew I had better not look scared. I was having fun. We had good company and were trying to calm each other. It felt like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), my favourite movie,” the 21-year-old actor says.
For Sen, jumping from a height of 18,000 feet felt “liberating” once her parachute unfolded. “When I jumped off the plane, we had another person jumping right in front of me because he wanted to capture another angle of me during the free fall. I was the first one in our group, so I didn’t expect anything. I just went for it.”
She continues, “It was so cool because they had told us that they would help us do back flips in the air. After the parachute opened, I was just chilling and floating; the free fall was the scariest part,” she ends.
