Mumbai: Actor Shreyas Talpade (47) collapsed after suffering a heart attack shortly after completing a film shoot on Thursday evening. He was rushed to an Andheri hospital where he underwent angioplasty. His family directed the medical staff not to divulge details of his condition or treatment.
Talpade was shooting for ‘Welcome To The Jungle’. He reportedly filmed through the day, including minor action sequences. Unit members said he appeared well and was laughing and joking on set. But, on reaching home, he informed his wife, Deepti, that he was feeling uneasy and collapsed.
After a long stint in Marathi TV and stage shows, Talpade was noticed nationwide for his role in ‘Iqbal’ (2005), where he played a deaf and mute aspiring cricketer. He has since featured in over 40 Hindi and Marathi films, including ‘Dor’, ‘Apna Sapna Money Money’, ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Golmaal Returns’.
