It’s been a long time since the Abhinav Bindra biopic was announced. Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor will step into the shoes of the Olympic gold medalist sport shooter. It’s been five years, and the film is taking time to roll. In fact, there was a buzz that the film got shelved, which Anil Kapoor, who’s associated with the project, denied.

Talking about the film, Harsh Varrdhan said, “I think you should ask my father (about the film’s commencement). He is the better person to answer this question as he is producing it. We are definitely trying to make it and shoot the film at the beginning of next year.”

He further added, “Honestly, it was supposed to happen even before AK vs AK and Thar (the films that released on an OTT platform recently). So, you see, we went ahead and made two films in the middle, but have not been able to start the Abhinav Bindra biopic. It is just a very big responsibility.”

Harsh says that the film requires him to be prepared thoroughly before it goes on the floor. He shares, “The story kind of takes place in a time period of 15-20 years. The attention to detail, production value, all of it needs to be perfect. You have to be absolutely sure and everybody (associated with the project) has to align.”
