Kareena Kapoor Khan says her hands are full with her family and projects in India
Rishabh Suri (HINDUSTAN TIMES; September 12, 2022)
Kareena Kapoor Khan is a successful Hindi film actor, but she claims she has never chased success. Following the same formula, she’s also not going to chase Hollywood dreams.
“Right now, I am doing (filmmaker) Hansal Mehta’s movie, then I am excited about (filmmaker) Rhea Kapoor’s next. These are things that are exciting for me, which I love and want to do. It’s not like I am chasing any brand. People who love me should know that I’m as real as it gets. I can’t do any more,” asserts the 41-year-old, recently seen in the film Laal Singh Chaddha.
Addressing the big question she is asked constantly — about her Hollywood plans — the actor tells us, “People ask, ‘Why can’t you go to Hollywood?’ I say, ‘It’s Los Angeles, it’s too far’. It is not my dream. Everyone chases different dreams in their life, and there’s nothing wrong in that. I am ambitious, but I am not super ambitious.”
Khan is choosing to prioritise her personal life, with husband, actor Saif Ali Khan and their two sons, Taimur and Jeh. “I have a family. I choose to do this. This is what I want,” she says.
And what if Hollywood comes calling for her? “I can’t think about it. I have my hands full here (in India) now,” the actor signs off.
