On Saturday, music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani’s father, Moti Dadlani, died at the age of 78. Sharing a photo of his dad on Insta, he wrote, “Shri Moti Dadlani (12 May 1943-8 Jan 2022). Lost my best friend, the nicest and kindest man on earth, last night. I couldn’t have asked for a better father.” On Friday, just a day prior to this unfortunate incident, Vishal had shared the news of his Covid-19 diagnosis. 

Vishal lamented not being able to be there for his mum during this tough time. “He was in the ICU for the last 3/4 days (due to a gall bladder surgery that went bad), but I couldn’t go...because I tested positive for Covid. I can’t even go hold my mother in her most difficult time. It’s really not fair. (sic)”
