While she is self-isolating at her home in Goa, Aashka Goradia has been spending time doing yoga and reading. The actress, who divides her time between Mumbai and Goa, was there to visit her husband, Brent Goble, who runs a yoga school in Vagator and had to stay back when the situation worsened.

So, she is quarantined with husband and actor friends Tinaa Dattaa and Sreejita De at their Vagator home. “They were here for a yoga retreat and were supposed to leave on March 22, but all of us are stuck together for over a month now,” she says. She adds, “Now that we call Goa our home, I would say, we are home! There couldn’t have been a better place for us to be at right now during such an unfortunate situation and still feel fortunate.”

Talking about how she’s learning to appreciate little things during the Coronavirus lockdown, she says, “We were trying to be mindful and didn’t overstock. Though we were six people in the house, we went out and bought stuff that we would need for seven days only.” And, how has life changed in lockdown? “I got to pick up reading again, Brent is finishing a few courses. Now that I know I have time at hand, I’m taking things slower. There’s no pressure of making the most of the time you have.”

Aashka doesn’t know when she’ll be able to return to Mumbai. She adds, “We also visit Brent’s family in the US every five-six months, but now it’s hard to plan a visit. So many things are going to change about travel.”
