Kriti Kharbanda is juggling between promotions of the Sajid Nadiadwala production, Housefull 4, and dubbing for Pagalpanti. “Too many things are happening right now,” she admits, but she’s not complaining. “I always wanted to be a part of a period film and Housefull 4, which is a reincarnation comedy, has a generous dose of laughs too, which is like icing on the cake. Also, this is the first time the girls are getting to do action in the franchise and though I was injured while training, I surprised everyone, including Sham ji (action director Sham Kaushal), and by the end of it, was being described as ‘chhota packet bada dhamaka’,” the actress laughs.

Prod her on whether she believes in rebirth and she says, “To an extent. I have a feeling I was a lazy clown in my previous life which is why I am being made to expend so much energy in this birth. I don’t remember when I took a break last. All my life I’ve wanted to be so busy that I’d have to reject offers due to time constraints. But when that happened recently, I ended up feeling guilty.”

After making a name for herself down South, Kriti made her Bollywood debut with Raaz Reboot and had previously told Mirror that she would be shuttling between Mumbai and her hometown, Bangalore. But soon after, she signed Guest Iin London and decided to relocate. “Initially, Mumbai didn’t feel like home because I had always lived in Bangalore. But now, I can’t imagine moving out of this city. This is the first time I have lived alone, and I love it. In the next one year, I will buy my own apartment,” she asserts.

Meanwhile, she is gearing up for another multi-starrer, Pagalpanti, which she describes as a typical Anees Bazmee film, “on the lines of Welcome and No Entry”. “I’m so glad Anees ji roped me for this one. Housefull 4 and Pagalpanti are different comedies which I have realised in the last few days when I was dubbing for them,” she beams.

Buzz is, she has found love in Pulkit Samrat while shooting for the film. “It’s a good feeling people think so. I think we look great together,” she says. So, are they dating? “That’s for people to find out. I am not saying ‘yes’ and nor am I saying ‘no’,” she laughs.
