After filming a wedding sequence in Andamans in early March, followed by a brief schedule in Mumbai, director Shonali Bose had announced the wrap of her Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim-starrer The Sky Is Pink. Now, Mirror has learnt that Priyanka is flying back to Mumbai next month to shoot for a song with her onscreen husband Farhan and their daughter, played by Zaira.
According to a source close to the development, it is a fun number that will appear in the middle of the film and is an important part of the narrative. “Composed by Pritam and written by Gulzar, it will be shot in a five-day schedule beginning June 6. Shonali, who is in the middle of post-production, has been working on the song for a few weeks now,” the source informed.
The Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur production is inspired by the late motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, who was born with an immune deficiency disorder and was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at 13. It has Rohit Saraf as Aisha’s brother. The film has also been shot in London and Delhi and buzz is, it will go to the Toronto International Film Festival this year.
Farhan has begun prepping for his next, Toofan, which marks his reunion with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The film sees him in the role of a boxer. The actor was recently spotted training with former world kickboxing champion Drew Neal, who also trains his girlfriend Shibani Dandekar.
