The venue of Priyanka Chopra’s sangeet ceremony, which was supposed to take place at Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, has been changed. The sangeet, as well as the other wedding functions, will now take place at Umaid Bhawan Palace. As per sources, Priyanka wanted police protection to travel from Umaid Bhawan Palace to Mehrangarh Fort. Though they have hired a private security agency, they also wanted protection from the local police. The Jodhpur Police reportedly declined to give them protection, citing the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan. An official from Mehrangarh Fort confirmed that the booking was cancelled. Priyanka and her family have decided to organise all the functions at Umaid Bhawan Palace, the source adds.

The bride-to-be was shooting in Delhi for The Sky Is Pink and received a special send off from the film’s team, with cake and champagne. Priyanka and Nick Jonas are reportedly tying the knot on December 1. The duo stopped by at the Beverly Hills courthouse last week to fill out the necessary paperwork to obtain a marriage license in the United States. Priyanka and Nick confirmed their engagement in August during a trip to Mumbai, where their families gathered for a celebration, which included a roka ceremony and a big engagement bash.
