On Monday, veteran actor Nana Patekar called for a press conference to offer his side of the story in the Tanushree Dutta controversy at his Lokhandwala residence.

However, later in the day, his son Mandar informed the media that the press conference had been called off. Scribes and photogs turned up at the Patekar residence around 4 pm anyway, urging Nana to come out and speak with them. The 67-year-old actor turned up around 5 pm.

After denying Tanushree’s allegations on TV and subsequently sending her a legal notice last week, Nana reiterated at the press conference, “The truth which was there 10 years back stands true even today”. He also added that his lawyers have asked him to refrain from giving out further comments.

Soon afterwards, the actor rushed out, pushing mics and cameras away, as he made his way to his car and left the premises for an undisclosed location.

This was his second appearance since Tanushree’s allegations of sexual harassment. Earlier, he was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Saturday as he arrived after shooting for an upcoming film in Rajasthan.

“I have already given the answer for this 10 years back. A lie will remain a lie,” Patekar had stated.
