Salman Khan’s next production which will introduce Zaheer Iqbal, the son of his childhood friend, and Pranutan, the daughter of Mohnish Bahl, his co-actor of many films, rolls in Srinagar on Wednesday.
Titled Notebook, it will be shot entirely in Kashmir in a start-to-finish schedule. The actor is producing it along with Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde.
A source from the film informs that the unit reached Srinagar 10 days ago and both newcomers have been prepping with director Nitin Kakkar and spending time with the locals to grasp the language. “Five Kashmiri kids are part of the main cast and they too have been attending workshops with Kakkar. The shoot will wrap up by November-end and the songs will be shot in one go,” says the source.
Salman won’t be travelling to Srinagar anytime soon since he is busy with the shoots of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat in Abu Dhabi and his weekend reality show Bigg Boss. “But he has spoken to both Zaheer and Pranutan before they left for the Valley. He was personally overseeing Zaheer’s training for the last few months and has given him the nickname Zahero,” adds the source, saying that the young actor has been training in action and building his physique since he was offered the film earlier this year.
