Mirror had earlier reported (April 10) that Arjun Kapoor will play an Intelligence Bureau officer in Raj Kumar Gupta’s next directorial, India’s Most Wanted, which is inspired by a real-life secret mission that took place between 2012 and 2014 leading to capture of one of India’s most wanted terrorists without a single bullet being fired. This is the 33-year-old actor’s look from the film for which he started shooting late last month.
“Arjun plays a no-nonsense IB officer in the film who is also an ordinary guy at heart like the rest of us. Since the film is inspired by a true-life story, we wanted to keep the look as real as possible. We discussed it for a month as the emphasis is more on the character’s state of mind rather than his physical attributes,” Gupta informed, adding that he has spoken to the people connected with the event to understand their physical and emotional journey as the story is more about this unsung hero’s resilience and intelligence.
Gupta who is producing the film with Fox Star Studios is all praise for Arjun, who he has known since his debut film, the 2012 romantic-thriller Ishaqzaade. “We have wanted to collaborate for a long time,” he signs off.
