GOLD had a heavy drop on day two of around 68% as it collected around 8 crore nett which takes its two day total to 33 crore nett apprx. The film had a 7% bigger drop than SATYAMEVA JAYATE as it had a far larger ratio of business coming from multiplexes which dropped more compared to single screens.

The film is still leading SATYAMEVA JAYATE in the all the major cities but in mass circuits it has fallen behind on day two. On day one it was behind also in some places but it was by small margins. Again like SATYAMEVA JAYATE the drop is in crash range but benefit has to be given due to the midweek release and it remains to be seen what happens over the next two days. If the film is unable to recover then it will be a crash.

Saturday - 8,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 33,25,00,000

It is a must for GOLD to recover well over the next few days and especially Saturday when the big cities record strong numbers. SATYAMEVA JAYATE can get away with it if it hangs around the 7-8 crore nett mark over the next few days but GOLD has to be doing double digits and Sunday has to be strong for some sort of sustenance from Monday onward.

The most important thing will be an uptrend today because if that does not come then the film will be facing tough times. The film has to start to motor ahead of SATYAMEVA JAYATE again.
