SATYAMEVA JAYATE saw a heavy drop on day two as it came out of a national holiday and it collected 7.25-7.50 crore nett apprx. This takes its two day total to 26 crore nett which is still a good total but it remains to be seen what happens to the film from here on.

The film did manage to beat competition Gold in CP Berar, CI, Nizam/Andhra, Bihar, Assam and Odisha on day one and it is these places which have held up better on day two though the drop is still big. This sort of drop is rare considering how well the film did well on day one. It is actually crash range but due to the Wednesday release it has to be given benefit of doubt and remains to be seen what happens over the next couple of days.

Friday - 18,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 7,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 25,25,00,000

The plus for the film is that big opening day number so if the film trickle along with the Thursday sort of numbers over the next few days it will still be an okay result for the film.

Obviously it needs to recover and go up to have a good result at the box office but even at the Thursday levels it will be okay commercially though it would mean it is not appreciated. It is difficult to judge what is going to happen today as there is no precedent especially in recent history.
