Karisma Kapoor had recently said that her nephew Taimur Ali Khan’s first birthday party will be a family affair.

“Wrong!” says a close family friend of the Pataudis. “I don’t know why she would say this. Taimur’s birthday is more than a month away. There is certainly no talk of making it a just a family get-together. Saif and Kareena are planning a huge first birthday bash for their little one. Saif’s mom (Sharmila Tagore) is expected to fly in from Delhi for the big day and the big party.”

And why not? The first birthday is always special for parents and grandparents. Says the family friend, “Saif and Kareena are very excited about Taimur’s first birthday.

They intend to invite all their friends from the film industry and outside.Taimur is too young to understand what his first birthday will be like. But he does love candles, cakes and balloons.”
