He had recreated the iconic
song, Khaike Paan Banaraswala for a film a few years ago, but Shah Rukh
Khan visited Banaras for the first time in his life only recently. He
also tasted the famous paan during the promotions of his upcoming film,
Jab Harry Met Sejal.
Accompanied by the film's director Imtiaz Ali and his leading lady, Anushka Sharma, the actor embarked on a journey through the course of which he visited cities like Banaras, Bulandshahr and Jodhpur since travel is one of the central themes of their upcoming romantic film.
“Is film ka promotion main tourist spots pe jaake karna chahta tha - Jodhpur, Banaras, thoda Bulandshahr - places we usually don't go to. Yahi mauka milta hai yaar, phir kahaan Banaras aaunga,“ added the actor. That's not all, earlier in the day the actor was also joined by Bhojpuri singer and actor Manoj Tiwari at a private institute in the city. Tiwari accompanied SRK and together regaled the crowd with their moves as they sang the Bhojpuri number, Lollypop Lagelu.
