Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia, who steps in front of the camera to play ‘dwarf’ Shah Rukh Khan’s father in Anand L Rai’s next, says he wanted to be part of the project to see how it is done.

“I do very few films as an actor but when a filmmaker friend feels that I can do justice to certain role — and when I need some money — only then I do a film. It’s a technical film in which Shah Rukh’s playing a dwarf. I wanted to see how it is made because when Kamal Haasan (Appu Raja) did it, he had to fold his legs since VFX wasn’t available then,” Tigmanshu said, adding, “So, to know that process, I did this film. It’s a time-consuming film where you have to shoot each shot with three-four different approaches and they complete only one scene in a day so it’s a hard film to make. But they are giving their best effort for that.” Meanwhile, the 49-year-old filmmaker is also gearing up to flag off the third Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster film.
