MUMBAI MIRROR (May 12, 2017)

Director Saket Chaudhary's upcoming slice-of-life, light-hearted comedy Hindi Medium, featuring Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar, questions the belief of parents in India who will go any distance to just have their child admitted in an English speaking school. The film, based on true events, is the story of the struggle and aspirations of millions of parents in India and is relevant to every family. The makers, were always confident of the content of the film, but now they are thrilled as the Censor Board has awarded a 'U' certificate to the film. Hindi Medium is a full family entertainer and the certification is an endorsement of that.

Producer Dinesh Vijan said, “We had set out to make a family entertainer and are ecstatic with the 'U' certification. We are confident that every Indian will relate with the film.“ Producer Bhushan Kumar added, “We are overwhelmed by the love the trailer has received and are confident that every Indian will love the film as much.“

Hindi Medium produced by Dinesh Vijan and Bhushan Kumar and presented by T-Series and Maddock films releases May 19.
