It’s been a while since Jacqueline Fernandez was seen in a thriller. At a time when her contemporaries are attempting films that are out of their comfort zone, she has been playing a conventional Bollywood heroine, of late.

She is willing to experiment, though. Her next two films, Reload and Drive are action-oriented, whereas Judwaa 2 has her in a comical role. She tells us she’s looking for something more intense. “I’d probably like to do something a little more serious, something more dramatic. I am in talks with a few directors actually, to basically see what’s happening on that front,” she told us.

According to our source, the actress has already picked her next project, post-Judwaa 2. “Jacqueline is doing Sujoy Ghosh’s next film. It’s a dark thriller and Sujoy is currently busy finishing the script. They have discussed the idea and Jackie has loved it. It’s a performance-oriented role. If she says yes, it will see Sujoy and her reunite for the first time since her debut in his Aladdin.”

Jackie is scheduled to fly to London to shoot for Judwaa 2 and Sujoy is expected to visit the city soon. “They will probably meet in London and finalise everything,” says the source.
