After lending his voice to the friendly bear, Baloo, in the Hindi version of The Jungle Book (2016), Irrfan Khan is set to turn narrator in Dinesh Vijan’s directorial debut, Raabta, featuring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon.
Dinesh, who took off to Georgia last month to shoot a song for his production, Hindi Medium, starring Irrfan and Pakistani actor Saba Qamar, tells mid-day, “Irrfan’s voice is amazing and distinct. We were flying to Georgia when I asked him if he could do a small voice over for Raabta’s trailer and he instantly agreed,” Dinesh says.
The director applauds Irrfan’s efforts in making the narrative impactful. “His voice sets the tone and context for it. In fact, after the recording was over, he asked me if it was good enough, even enquiring if I wanted him to do it again.”
