German-Indian model turned actress Evelyn Sharma is on cloud nine. The sexy siren will be seen in Imtiaz Ali's The Ring starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, as well as in a lead role in a romcom co-starring Amit Sadh. Her charity foundation Seams For Dreams, formed to provide clothes to the underprivileged as well as auction designer-wear by celebs is an unique initiative. “Common people too can contribute by donating clothes or by participating in the auctions“, she explains.

Having completed six years in Bollywood and calling Mumbai her home, Evelyn feels blessed to have bagged roles in big banners .Excited about her next with SRK, she reveals, “I've been raised in Germany and Bollywood means Shah Rukh Khan for us. We only know him and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan there. So my dream of working with him has come true. Also when someone as brilliant as Imtiaz Ali asks you to be in his film, you just say yes.“

Reminiscing her journey , she says, “It hasn't been easy. My mother's German and father's a Punjabi (Indian). This made me feel like an outsider as Germans thought I looked Spanish or Mexican and Indians believe I look like a foreigner. I had to learn Hindi and interestingly, after coming to India, I found myself.“

Speaking of looks, Evelyn clarifies that pretty girls don't have it easy in show business unlike the common assumption. “It's about being in the right place at the right time and knowing your job. Looking great is not enough. I've auditioned several times for roles.“ Finally, ask her about working with Ranbir Kapoor (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani) and now SRK and she gushes, “I was smitten by Ranbir. He is a new-age charmer. He exudes this sexy, young, bad boy vibe, while SRK is truly charming as he is a thorough gentleman.“
