Alia Bhatt has imbibed a lot from her co actor Shah Rukh Khan while working with him on Dear Zindagi over a span of 60 days in Mumbai, Goa and Singapore. The actors would spend the days shooting, and have long conversations with director Gauri Shinde at night, which sometimes ended an hour or two before the crack of dawn.

It was the actress' first outing with Shah Rukh and she made the most of the opportunity. According to a source close to the project, SRK always had a few pieces of advice for the young lady which she heard with rapt attention. “SRK advised her on performing her scenes more effectively. He helped her improvise her scenes with other actors. He also shared plenty of his own experiences and wisdom with Alia which she absorbed well. And in the schedules that didn't feature SRK, we saw Alia practically following his advice to the T, which only improved the quality of her performance,“ says the source.
