Currently, he has only said yes to Anees Bazmee’s Mubarakan, which also stars his uncle Anil Kapoor. Says a source, “For Arjun today, it’s about picking and choosing the next film after Half-Girlfriend with Shraddha Kapoor. He has been offered some interesting films. He wants to do different roles, so he is being very choosy and selective."

The source adds that Arjun has been hearing scripts but he is in no hurry to sign whatever comes his way. He wants to time out his films, and he also has to keep time for his TV reality show. “He’s shooting for Half-Girlfriend in Delhi presently. He hasn’t had any time for himself between prepping for H-G and shooting for it. His naani Sattee Shourie passed away last week, so, emotionally, too, it has been an exhausting time for him. Now, he has to choose carefully between the films he has been offered (see box) and give his dates.”

ARJUN’s OFFERS
There’s Anushka Sharma’s next home production, a thriller. He is in talks with Navdeep and her NH10 team.

There’s an emotional attachment to Nikkhil Advani’s Bazaar, featuring Saif Ali Khan. Arjun was an assistant director to Nikhil on Kal Ho Na Ho and Salaam-E-Ishq. Bazaar is about the share market like Wall Street where Saif plays the billionaire tycoon and Arjun works under him as his apprentice.

The third film is Abhishek Varman’s Shiddat produced by Karan Johar. This, too, has an emotional connect as Arjun is close to Abhishek (they also worked together in 2 States).
