Gaana.com, India's leading music streaming app, and Rapid Metro came together to musically surprise daily commuters of the metro. This activity has gone viral on social media and reached an audience of one million within just three hours of the gig.

In a one-of-its-kind activity, leading Bollywood composer Amit Trivedi and his band performed live in a moving train. This was a two hour long, India's first musical concert, that was performed this way. The aim of the activity was to break the mundane routine, surprise metro commuters, and create happy memories. Hundreds of commuters who boarded the train were delighted with the surprise, with many choosing not to get down at their destination. For them, this was a moment they will remember for a long time.

“Gaana is about building magical musical experiences. Daily commute is one of the most popular ways in which our consumers use Gaana. So, we organised a musical train concert for our Rapid Metro customers to delight and surprise them,“ said Prashan Agarwal, COO, Gaana.com.

This was a performance where no audience or media was informed in advance. However, Amit reached out to thousands of people by tweeting about the event. The singer-composer gave commuters a pleasant start to the day by performing songs like Pashmina and Iktara, among many others.
