Third time is the charm is
an oft repeated phrase when it comes to luck or success. Considering the
significance of the number, three powerhouse actors - Amitabh Bachchan,
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan - get together for director Ribhu
Dasgupta's Te3n. Sujoy Ghosh is the creative producer of the thriller.
Bachchan says, “Marketing and promotions of films on release have become an important tool at the time of release. Many innovative ideas and concepts have emanated during recent years on what would be a successful and good PR activity. We are seeking ideas, concepts and suggestions on how this film could and should be promoted. We are inviting comments and suggestions, ideas on poster design, marketing incentives and any novel promotional activity that could be undertaken. Producers of the film, distributors and their in-charge of marketing shall register your suggestions, choose what they feel could be valuable, utilise them and look for a possible reward to those selected. May I request and urge this novel audience participation for the promotion of our new film; one that I shall respect and honour.“
Sujoy adds, “We will offer audiences a unique platform to give us their ideas with reference to the film. We will then use it in our creative.“ Details of all the activities will soon be available on the film's exclusive microsite.
The movie based in Kolkata is about a crime that affects its three principal characters -John Biswas (Bachchan), a grandfather who is on the relentless pursuit for justice for eight years, Father Martin Dias (Nawaz), whose life changes after the turn of events and Sarita Sarkar (Vidya), the cop who swings into action when an identical crime is repeated eight years later. The emotional, explosive journey of these three people also has their fates intertwined in their quest for justice and redemption.
Te3n, produced by Endemol Shine India, Reliance Entertainment, Cinemaa, Kross Pictures and Blue Waters Motion Pictures, releases on June 10.
