Salman Khan and Kabir Khan can breathe easy. Their fear
that their message of Indo-Pak amity in Bajrangi Bhaijaan may be taken
amiss in Pakistan, has proved to be unfounded. On Tuesday the censor
board in Lahore passed the film for all ages with only two prominent
cuts.
Says a source from Pakistan, “The Lahore Censor Board cleared the film with two cuts. One was a shot of the Pakistani embassy which they have asked to be deleted. Another was a shot of a Maulvi at the border saying, ‘Radhe Shyam’. The Lahore censor board objected to that. These two cuts apart the Lahore censor board warmed up to the films message of cross-border amity.”
Bajrangi Bhaijaan can now release in Pakistan on Eid, as planned.
