Amit Sadh has four films lined up for release this year but things haven't always been rosy for the actor. Though he made a much acclaimed debut with Kai Po Che, he didn't have any work even after the film released. His co-stars, Sushant Singh Rajput and Rajkumar Rao were being offered films and though he too was applauded for his performance, no films came his way.
Talking about the time before he even got his debut film, Amit says, "I have always struggled. I don't think it has ended even now. Even before Kai Po Che, I have worked everywhere. I have done it all. But when I was jobless here, I knew people wouldn't let me even work, even at at McDonald's. They will be like 'Dekho TV actor kaam kar raha hai. I used to roam in an auto before I got my debut film, so then people would be like 'dekho, tv actor, auto mein ghumta hai'. I don't have a problem with that, but people here wouldn't let me work. In America they will. Every actor who had made it big today has got to the top by doing stuff like this.
I can sweep, swab the floor, I have worked in Pizza Hut, I have worked in different shops, everything and I am not scared of any kind of work but I was sure that I wouldn't be able to do it in India. So I called my friend in New York and I told him that I was coming. I asked him to give me a job as he was from an influential family but by then I had gotten a call for Kai Po Che. This is why I have no fear of success of failure. It's not arrogance. These things aren't even in my control."
