The Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image (MAMI) just got a huge push as Deepika Padukone has joined Anurag Kashyap, Farhan Akhtar and Karan Johar in the board of trustees. The film festival that faced a lot of issues last year with funding, has Kiran Rao taking over as the chairperson. Riteish Deshmukh and Siddharth Roy Kapur have also joined in as members of the trustee board. The actress decided to take up this new role as she now wants to be a part of the section of the industry that encourages new talent while giving them a platform to showcase their skills. Guess being a part of slightly offbeat films like Finding Fanny and Piku has given the actress a new perspective. Good going, girl!
