Farah Khan who has been shooting back-to-back episodes for her celebrity-based, cooking show decided to host a daawat at her Lokhandwala residence for tennis ace, Sania Mirza who was in town and a few select buddies. "When Tabu arrived with a handi filled with biryani and Avinash Gowariker (photographer) with lip-smacking Maharashtrian dal, we knew it would be a night to remember," laughs a guest.

There was Boman Irani and Sonu Sood, composer duo Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani from her Happy New Year gang, along with singer Sonu Nigam, actor Riteish Deshmukh with wife Genelia D'Souza, filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj with wife Rekha and director-brother Sajid Khan who had everyone in splits with his witty one-liners.

"There was no shortage of selfies or food and absolutely no paparazzi," said a guest.

Farah admitted that she hated "typical parties where everyone is busy networking". On the other hand, this one, she asserted, was "a no-stress, positive bash, like a reunion of college buddies". Her guests laughed and swapped stories till 2am and gorged on home-cooked delicacies.
