After announcing the joint production — Udta Punjab — Anurag Kashyap’s Phantom Films and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures are now coming together for another film. The two filmmakers have been wanting to work for a long time and sooner than later, Anurag might be directing a film to be produced by Balaji.

Our source reveals, “Ekta has always loved the projects that Phantom Films associates itself with, and the two have been looking for the right script to work together. Though they haven’t yet decided on the script, Anurag has been signed on by Ekta for a film. It will be the perfect combination of art meets commercial. After Udta Punjab, the duo will be sitting together to finalise on a few scripts that they have shortlisted.”

Confirming the same, Tanveer Bookwala, CCO, Balaji Motion Pictures said, “Anurag was signed a long time back. We are looking for the right material, as we speak. The minute we find something, we will announce it.”
