"It's still unbelievable, I've never felt so selfless in my life!" exclaims first-time father Mohit Suri whose wife, Udita Goswami gave birth to their daughter at 12 noon on Thursday at a private hospital in Bandra.

The proud parents have named their first-born Devi. "We wanted an old-school, traditional name. Devi came to me while I was driving to the hospital. It has a nice ring to it," says Mohit, adding with a laugh that he'd like to believe his daughter has Udita's face and his brains.

Mahesh Bhatt, who has become a grand-uncle, broke the news online, with the tweet: "Devi completes Mohit's and Udita's 'Adhuri' Love Story!"

Mohit's cousins, Alia Bhatt and Emraan Hashmi, who are both out of town, congratulated him over the phone. "Ekta called from Dubai and Aditya (Roy Kapur), Shaad (Ali, director), and Milap (Zaveri) are here with me at the hospital," says Mohit, insisting the child has brought along an odd sense of fulfilment. "I lost my mother at a young age and after becoming a parent I feel the loss can finally be overcome. I want to give my daughter everything."

Will the baby, like most industry kids, grow up on a movie set? "Not if Udita has her way," comes the prompt response. "Everyone wants to click her, but my star is only a day old. We will take her pictures later."
