Salman Khan seems to be going all out to make his sister’s wedding a truly star- studded affair. Arpita will tie the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Aayush Sharma on November 18 in Hyderabad. Going by the latest buzz, Salman has invited Shah Rukh Khan to the reception on November 21, putting rumours of a mutual animosity to rest.
A source says, “The guest list features actors, politicians, sportsmen and corporate honchos. In a thoughtful gesture, Salman has also sent an invite to Shah Rukh.”
Apart from SRK, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor are amongst those invited from within the film industry.
Stars from the South film industry including Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Suresh Babu have also been invited. There is speculation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is said to be extremely fond of Salman, would attend the wedding.
The wedding celebrations will start with a haldi ceremony on November 16 in the city post which the Khan family will fly down to Hyderabad for the sangeet. Salman has booked the Royal Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad for the wedding and it would be followed by a reception in Mumbai on November 21— which again is expected to be a high profile event. The bride’s wedding trousseau has been designed by Manish Malhotra. “The wedding will mostly be attended by family and but the reception is likely to be a grand affair. It looks like it will be the talk of the town,” adds the source.
