Since Vishal Bhardwaj's next film Haider is set there, the filmmaker has included not one, but two characters in the film who dress like the actor did in Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! When asked about it, the filmmaker explains, “In the 90s where the film is set, fan following of Salman Khan was massive after the success of Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! And many young people sported clothes and hairstyle like him. These two characters, both called Salman, are his fans.“
