A thousands-strong crowd of students, packed tightly into an auditorium in Noida, showed that they remembered the lyrics of Saturday Saturday perfectly -just as well as the guy who's rapped them, Varun Dhawan. The popular young stars of the film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania - Varun, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Shukla - electrified the students of Amity University when they visited Noida as part of the launch celebrations of the Times of India's Noida edition.

“The character is a part of a shop in Delhi University called Vidya Book Centre, and much like it happens in Delhi, where the boys take their dates for chaat in DU and Khan Market for cold coffee, he also does that. Humpty has a large heart. Hum dil bhi Dilliwaalon ki tarah hi bada hai," Varun told us, explaining how his character in the film, Humpty Sharma, is from Delhi. The energetic young actors made the crowd scream again and again with their antics. Varun jumped into Sidharth's arms, and the beefy Sid easily held him up as Varun leaned all the way back! Alia and Varun also did a smouldering waltz to Samjhawan, and rapped Saturday Saturday, with the students rapping along

What's that, you ask? That's Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Shukla and Varun's cousin Sahil clicking a `humphie' -with a selfie rod! Taking the selfie craze to newer heights, many people now use the selfie rod to capture big crowds or a large object in the background, which they would otherwise be unable to do, with their phone held in their hands. Also, the phrase 'humphie' - the Humpty selfie was coined jointly by Alia and photographer Rohan Shrestha.
