If the latest buzz is to be believed, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra will be pairing up on the big screen once again. The two, who were rumoured to be seeing each other at one point of time, will apparently star together in Abhishek Chaubey’s next film.
Says a source, “Abhishek recently had a falling out with his mentor, Vishal Bharadwaj, and he is all set to start work on his next project. He has already signed Shahid Kapoor for it and if things go as per plan, he will soon have Priyanka Chopra on board.” The source adds that the film is titled Udta Punjab. “Produced by Phantom Films, the film is based in Punjab and this is why Abhishek has been travelling to Punjab quite often. Right now, the pre-production work is on and once everything gets finalised, an official announcement will be made,” says this source. Priyanka-Shahid’s previous outings are Kaminey and Teri Meri Kahaani, and this might be their third film together.
Both actors and Abhishek were unavailable for comment.

Shahid Kapoor has been signed by Abhishek Chaubey for his next film Udta Punjab, which is based on today’s youth of the Sikh state. No one plays the Punjabi munda better than Shaks.
Meanwhile hunt is on for the leading lady. The filmmakers have approached Priyanka Chopra for the lead role. The question is: Will she do a film with her ex-beau. The possibility of them coming together is not remote. Not only are they neighbours, they are also on good terms with each other. When her dad passed away last year, he was out of the city but drove down to pay his last respects.
If all goes well, this will be the third film of Shahid-Priyanka pairing after Kaminey and Teri Meri Kahaani.
