After the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Queen, director Vikas Bahl is busy with the preproduction work of his next, the Shahid Kapoor-Alia Bhatt rom-com Shaandaar.

Mirror has learnt that Karan Johar, who is friends with the Phantom gang of Vikas Bahl, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, will be seen in a fun cameo in this destination wedding film.

Revealed a source privy to the film's script, “The sequence involves Karan hosting his popular chat show Koffee with Karan with Shahid as his his guest. And it has been written in a tongue-in-cheek manner and comes at a very crucial point in the film."

When contacted, Bahl who is scouting locations for his film in London while polishing his script said: “We're thinking about something along those lines but it's early days yet. I'm still writing the script. I don't know if the sequence will eventually find it's way into the film. But if it does, it will be fun."
