Shifaali Shah paired opp Anil Kapoor in Dil Dhadakne Do?

Shifaali Shah entered the picture as Anil Kapoor's wife only after Tabu and Raveena Tandon had turned down Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do. A source close to the film told Mirror, "Both Tabu and Raveena liked the role but weren't comfortable playing mom to Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh."
Zoya was earlier supposed to kick off the film on a cruise in June. But with the shoot advanced to May, Zoya knew that time was running out and contacted Shefali Shah.
Added the source, "Shifaali gave the required dates immediately as she has no qualms playing mom to these stars. Now she is packing her bags to fly off to Barcelona for the shoot."
