Here’s a snapshot of Chetan Bhagat’s wife, Anusha Suryanarayan, on whom Alia Bhatt’s character, Ananya Swaminathan, in the upcoming romantic drama 2 States is modelled. While we are yet to know how close Ananya is to Anusha, one can’t help but notice the uncanny similarities in their costumes.

 Manish Malhotra has designed the costumes and as Alia is quick to point out, Ananya is not a stereotypical Tam-Brahm. Her look changes through the film as she goes from being a management student in Ahmedabad’s IIM campus to a working woman, from the proverbial meeting with the parents in Delhi to slipping back into a traditional ensemble to please her exacting folks.
