JAAT is a success as it held up well on Wednesday with collections close to the 4 crore nett mark. Due to the holiday on Monday and discounted rates on Tuesday, the test was going to be Wednesday and the film has managed to hold collections well that day. The Wednesday number is less than 45% down from Friday and this is despite a Monday holiday and discounted Tuesday, which got extra admits.
The seven day first week number has closed on around 55.50 crore nett and the extended eight day week may go close to around 59 crore nett. JAAT is the second success of a drought ridden year and now it remains to be seen if the film can emerge a HIT. A open week second week would have helped its cause but it has KESARI CHAPER 2 for competition. Although both films have a different audience profile, a big new release does affect the holdover films compared to an open week.
Its a film that the industry was not taking seriously and when the film opened, very low lifetime numbers were going around but it has exceeded those numbers in just seven days and more is to come. The film saw good holds the across the board but outside Rajasthan, Haryana and UP, it can be said that the holds at low levels but that is good enough for the film. The film is a HIT in Rajasthan, Delhi/UP and East Punjab and many centers in these pockets will be giving competition to KESARI CHAPER 2 even though JAAT will be in week two.
The seven day business of JAAT is as follows.
Thursday - 9,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 6,65,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,35,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 7,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 5,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,85,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 55,60,00,000 apprx
-----------------------------------------------
JAAT has done well in its first week as it collected 59.50 crore nett in its first week with the last day of the week closing at 4 crore nett where the drop is still less than 50% of the Friday. The film did decent over the weekend and then got benefit of partial holiday on Monday and the cheap rates on Tuesday which meant the test was going to come after this. The film has held up well on Wednesday and Thursday.
The film is driven by business in Rajasthan and parts of the Delhi/UP and east Punjab circuits while business elsewhere remains steady at low levels. The downside for the film is the business in Mumbai circuit where it could have done much better though Gujarat is very steady. So, the ratio of the circuit has got better as the week progressed
JAAT will face competition of KESARI CHAPER 2 on Friday but that can be compensated by the holiday for Good Friday somewhat and then it remains to be seen how it goes over the weekend. Sunday should see good collections as those mass pockets come into play again. The film is the second successful film of 2025 and time will tell if it can go on to have a better verdict though the competition over the next 2-3 weeks will mean less numbers than what it could have achieved if it was an open period.
The eight day business of JAAT is as follows.
Thursday - 9,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 6,65,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,35,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 7,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 5,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,85,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 59,60,00,000 apprx
-----------------------------------------------
JAAT continued its good run on its second Friday as it collected 3.75 crore nett which is a little drop from the previous day with basically the holiday factor cancelling out the competition of the new release. The film was affected by the release of KESARI CHAPER 2 as areas like Mumbai city and Delhi NCR saw drops. The stronger circuits held at the same level and even improved from the previous day.
The film has collected a total of 63 crore nett so far and continues to do very well in certain mass pockets. But for the bigger centres and multiplexes it needed open week and competition is going to hit business there which can make that HIT status tough though the film is a success. The way the film held up over the weekdays, it should have been having higher numbers in the second weekend.
The business of JAAT is as follows.
Thursday - 9,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 6,65,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,35,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 7,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 5,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,85,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Week One - 59,60,00,000 apprx
Friday - 3,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 63,35,00,000 apprx

JAAT had good collections on Tuesday as it got benefit of cheap rates and collected in the 5.50 crore nett range. The cheap Tuesday offer has been started by PVR but it meant that many other multiplexes followed and that was the case yesterday. There were some places which did not do it but the national chains and most of the non nationals had the offer.
JAAT has around 52 crore nett over six days but actual test is on Wednesday (today) as Monday was a partial holiday and Tuesday got benefit of this new offer from multiplexes. This has made the Monday and Tuesday holds look better and if that Tuesday number came with everything normal, it would have been a super hold after a holiday. Now the wait is for the film to come down to its actual level.
The film has done pretty well so far but its the next few days that will tell if the film can do anything better than average business though in todays scenario you take even average as a result. The film continues to be very good in Rajasthan, Haryana and UP while other mass pockets also seem steady, taking out the advantage it got on Monday and Tuesday.
The six day business of JAAT is as follows.
Thursday - 9,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 6,65,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,35,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 7,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 5,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 51,75,00,000 apprx

JAAT did well on Monday as it collected 7.25 crore nett to take its five day total to 46 crore nett plus. The film got the benefit of a partial holiday on Monday which enabled the film to collect more than Friday. The film was around 10% higher than Friday and if we take out the holiday factor, it will still be a good hold as collections were possibly around 4.50 crore nett on fair value. Friday was 6.65 crore nett.
Tuesday could see collections hold up above its real value as PVR Inox have started a cheap Tuesday scheme which leaves no option for the other multiplexes but to follow suit. It will be Wednesday when the film will come to its real value. Overall, the film will be having a good week which will be over 55 crore nett and maybe even go close to 60 crore nett.
JAAT continues to be very good in Rajasthan, Delhi/UP and East Punjab while other circuits also hold collections well though at lower levels. Mumbai collections on Monday were very similar to the first day but that first day saw dull collections in Mumbai circuit. The film can prove to be a HIT but a lot depends on the second week and after that. There are big films to come over the next 2-3 weeks which makes things tougher while an open run would have made it easier to keep on adding collections.
The five day business of Jaat is as follows.
Thursday - 9,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 6,65,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,35,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 7,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 46,25,00,000 apprx
---------------------------------------------------------
JAAT is doing excellent business in Rajasthan as it collects almost 4.75 crore nett in five days. The circuit has a value of around 5% but for JAAT, it is showing a 10% contribution. On the first day, a centre like Jaipur had collected more than a big centre like Mumbai. In fact Jaipur was the second highest collecting city for the film after Delhi.
The film will cover the lifetime numbers of SIKANDAR in just seven days in Rajasthan and it will beat some of the bigger films of last year like FIGHTER and SHAITAAN in this circuit comfortably. The name of the film is helping the film as there is a huge Jaat community in the circuit and its the same in Haryana and UP where the film is also doing fantastic.
UP is a part of Delhi/UP circuit and Haryana is a part of East Punjab. As the other regions of these circuits are not as strong, the circuits numbers don't come out as strong as Rajasthan. If the name of the film has aided the film in these Northern areas, it could be the opposite in western pockets.
The film has a look and feel of a South film and these tend to do well in Maharashtra and Gujarat but here numbers are low and though they are holding well enough, its still at low levels. The name could have something to do with it as the audience here feels that its about a certain community.
The collections of JAAT in Rajasthan till date are as follows.
Thursday - 1,00,00,000
Friday - 67,00,000
Saturday - 96,00,000
Sunday - 1,33,00,000
Monday - 68,00,000
TOTAL - 4,67,00,000

JAAT did good business on Sunday as it collected 14 crore nett showing a very strong jump in business all over. The growth on Sunday was a huge 50% as the film benefited in the evening and night shows as they did not drop like a normal Sunday due to a partial holiday on Monday. Also the film is doing better in the mass circuits and they generally do better on Sunday. The film has collected a decent 39 crore nett over the first four days.
The trend of the film is good as well though an important circuit like Mumbai continues to have low numbers. There was a big jump on Sunday especially in the Gujarat side. But the circuit is only at a 20% ratio when the norm is in the 30-35% range. The 20% ratio is better than what it got on day one but this needed to be more higher. The story is the opposite in Rajasthan where the film is excellent and Delhi/UP and East Punjab are good.
There is a holiday on Monday in many states and that should benefit the film and the number should be around 50% higher than it would have otherwise got with a normal Monday. However, its about where the film lands on Tuesday. The film will emerge a success if Tuesday can show a decent hold which will enable the film to get a run for a few weeks.
The film has done HIT business in Rajasthan and Delhi/UP and East Punjab could also end up that way in the long run but others are less and even if just Mumbai circuit had done around its a normal ratio it would have been a sure shot HIT. It still has a chance but its tougher now and depends on what happens over the next 10-15 days.
The four day business of JAAT is as follows.
Thursday - 9,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 6,65,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,35,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 39,00,00,000 apprx

JAAT did well on its third day as it collected 9.25-9.50 crore nett apprx with good growth of 40% and it edged past the first day number. Normally this should happen but with a film like JAAT, which collects far better in areas which see stronger Sunday business than Saturday, it can be tougher as mass centers don't go back up to day one levels.
This was the case here as well as Rajasthan, CI and Delhi/UP were all less than the first day. Delhi NCR managed good growth but the UP centres did not go back up to to the first day levels but this should change on Sunday as mass comes into play. The other plus for the film is that Mumbai circuit did much better on Sunday with collections 30% higher than the first day. The momentum should continue here on Sunday as Gujarat and even Maharashtra collect well.
The three day collections of the film are around 25 crore nett and it should have a good Sunday and there is a holiday to follow on Monday. Overall its decent business till now but hopefully from here the film will do good numbers as mass circuits push higher. The film managed good growth in the national chains on Saturday as they shot up almost 60% from the previous day and were also 25% higher than the first day.
The three day business of JAAT is as follows.
Thursday - 9,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 6,65,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 9,35,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 25,00,00,000 apprx

JAAT had a decent hold on its second day as it collected 6.5-6.75 crore nett which takes the film to 15.50 crore nett in two days. The drop on day two is in the 25-30% range which is fair post a partial holiday. The collections of the film down heavily in the morning but recovered well post the afternoon shows.
The film was better in places which were weaker on the first day as Mumbai circuit only dropped 10-15% while the national chains also saw a drop of under 25%. The drop was highest in Rajasthan and UP especially the latter but both did good business on the first day. The next two days are important for the film.
The Saturday number should go towards the first day number but it could find it tough to do so as such a high ratio of business is coming from mass pockets. Hence, its likely these areas will come to day one levels and higher on Sunday. Overall its middling business over the first two days at an all India level though some pockets are good. The film needs to improve in Delhi NCR/Punjab (political) and Mumbai especially the former as there is some potential there with the rest of North doing good.
The two day business of JAAT is as follows.
Thursday - 9,00,00,000
Friday - 6,65,00,000
TOTAL - 15,65,00,000 apprx
